  1. That's amazing! I wonder if you can expand on the script and use the same stop price to send a STOP order? So basically, you double-click to set the stop price and hit the hotkey which sends an entry order along with a stop order.
  2. Does this script allow you to buy $125 worth of a stock (i.,e 5 shares x$25), or does it allow you to risk $125 max based on a stop price?
  3. I haven't figured out a way to deselect via hotkey. I just put down a random line, right-click, remove. It should return back to your regular cursor.

  6. Monk, I haven't tried the hotkeys in this post. What kind of issues are you getting? Could you please elaborate on what you mean by 'save the DAS settings to return to the original setting?'
  7. SIG VWAP False Breakout – June 6, 2018 SIG gapped up overnight and surged at the Open. However, it quickly reversed and lost the VWAP. Shortly before 10 AM, I watch it reverse (yet again) and head back toward VWAP. It made higher-highs and higher-lows and I anticipated it to break above VWAP with strength. My entry was 51.58 with a stop loss at at 51.20. With a target at $53 and beyond, my reward-to-risk was 3.6. The stock popped and continued toward $53 with no signs of slowing down. I scaled out along the way and was all out at my target. It coiled around VWAP for about 2 hours before running up to $55.35. Paul S took the exact same trade as me--even our entry price was identical! Watch his recap here.
  8. Can you clarify whether in Example 2 where you trade 40K shares with IBs tiered per share structure ECN fees still apply? Depending on the applicable network fees it seems IB could be out of the money if they didn’t pass those through to traders. As far as I'm aware, the exclusion of ECN + regulatory fees on Tiered structure remain the same regardless of volume. Nothing on their website states otherwise. Another thing to consider is the flexibility of the platform. If you lease the platform directly from DAS the s/w lease could be used on multiple brokerage accounts while with ST their flavor of DAS locks the trader into trading just their account. I'm not aware of any other brokers--other than IB--which allow you to link to DAS. Do you know of any in particular?

  10. It's in the Members Area. Advanced Lesson: Understanding Order Flow and Time and Sales
  11. Thank you for taking the time to write such an honest and comprehensive review!
  12. Nice journal entries and trade management! I like how you balance positive and negative commentary. Don't be too hard on yourself since you are your own Trading Coach. Who wants to learn from a grouch lol. As you mentioned, it's about learning from your mistakes and working on how to get better every day. Hope to see more of your journaling here!
  13. That was a great trade, Robbie. I was watching the same thing but missed the entry. By the time I noticed the move @ 21.90, the risk/reward didn't make sense. Nice work!
  14. This question was asked in the Lifetime Webinar. So here's a breakdown. Note that SpeedTrader will rebate platform fees with commission of $450/month or greater.
  15. It's called a STOP RANGE in DAS. Here's how to do it. Andrew also made a video tutorial in the Members Area.
  16. It stands for Handle Instruction. My other platform calls it Special Instructions. Not sure if there is an industry term for it. I've never heard of N Hold. Try asking [email protected].
  17. ANY means you're okay with the order partially filled. AON means 'All or None.' In other words, fill the order completely or not at all.
  18. I believe those 3 fees are set by outside parties, so they should be the same across brokers. Some brokers rebate you ECN fees if you add liquidity to the market (limit orders). Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
  19. Elaine, the main different between IB fixed and tiered are: Fixed: $1 minimum per ticket and includes SEC, FINRA, ECN fees Tiered: $0.35 minimum per ticket and does not include the above fees Most people have found tiered to be cheaper. Andrew, myself, Lee and many others are on tiered.
  20. Peter, very good points! Sometimes you have to trade a stock once to really know how it behaves. CPE is NYSE so that's the first red flag. I keep a list of 'not tradeable', or choppy stocks in my memory bank. AMD, X, AA, etc. CPE just earned itself a spot.
  21. Josh, Andrew goes over pre-market price action in Class 2. Basically you want at least 100k volume that is smooth throughout the morning (not block trades). Also, the candles should be 'clean' and not some ugly chop fast. Since pre-market volume is much thinner, it's not going to look as clean as market patterns, but the price should still respect levels and do 'waves'. Watch Class 2 for specific examples.
