  1. Hi best people in the world! Want to share a tip that I found today. Basically you take Time/Sale and remove Price, Qty and everything else, except time. Move it closed to your Market Clock and you're done. Now you have quick check up whether DAS is lagging or not. Shout out to @Thor for showing how to use it in time/sale.
  2. Good afternoon, I am trying to figure out how to trigger a predefined order at a certain option price. Here is my example: Say I have 10 contracts of AMD 75 Calls, and I bought them at $2.00 per contract. I have this hotkey/script "CXL ALLSYMB;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price=Bid;Share=Pos*0.5;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;Price=Ask-AvgCost-0.02;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:TRAILING StopPrice:Price TrailPrice=Round2 ACT:SELL QTY:POS TIF:DAY+" that I want to fire off automatically when the option price hits $2.50 I have not been able to figure out a way to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you, Joseph
  3. I would like to use this script but don't want it to calculate the number (amount) of shares for me. I want to be able insert for example 100 shares (long/ short) and for the stop to be put out once my entry order gets filled.

Tried removing the stop price in the montage, but that didn't work.

Any idea what needs to be done to get it to work?

  4. Hi, the short hotkey has been working for me on the short side but the long hot key script hasn't been working at all I kept getting "ERROR: Can't get valid price!" message This is what I have for Long w/out Stop StopPrice=Price-0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Ask-Price+0.00;SShare=1000/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=MSPOL;Price=Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=200;
  5. Hi all, I've had the following RR hotkeys for long and short that have been working and today I'm getting a Error:Can't get valid price. I re confirmed double click on chart is enabled. Broker is TDA Long: ROUTE=STOP;StopPrice=Price-0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Ask-Price+0.00;SShare=250/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price= Ask+0.03;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=200;Price=Ask-StopPrice*2+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS TIF:DAY Short: ROUTE=STOP;StopPrice=Price+0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Price-Bid+0.00;SShare=250/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price=Bid-0.05;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;DefShare=200;Price=StopPrice-Bid*1;Price=Bid-Price;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:Price HighPrice:StopPrice ACT:BUY QTY:POS TIF:DAY Can not for the life of me figure out why today I'm getting the error issue.
  6. I will suggest you to debug your script with some values for variables AvgCost and Price. Calculate what values you are getting for LowPrice, HighPrice and check if the calculated prices are valid for your range order. You can use Share=Pos; instead of 10, if you don't plan to sell only 10 shares with the range order. Best of luck.
  7. Hi There - I had a Das Trader/bearbull help session yesterday and got setup with the risk based hotkeys. Everything works fine...once - and then I get the 'Cannot Find Valid Price' error on subsequent attempts to use the hotkey (or on the sell side). Hotkeys were setup in a screenshare so not sure where to begin, but here is what I have: CXL ALLSYMB;StopPrice=Price-0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Ask-Price+0.00;SShare=25/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=200;Price=Ask-StopPrice*2+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS TIF:DAY+ The only thing I noticed is that after execution, the default in montage is set to limit, from market when the trade executes, but don't know enough to know whether that's relevant here. Any help appreciated!
  8. that gives me an error saying "can't get valid price!". but i played around with an excel sheet to try and reverse engineer what is actually going on here with this script and came to the conclusion that this is what I need: StopPrice=ASK*1.01;DefShare=BP*0.97;Price=StopPrice-Ask;SShare=1000/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=CARCAL;Price=ASK;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;DefShare=100;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0 ACT:BUY STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos TIF:DAY+ Can anyone look this over and let me know if this seems to be correct? It appears to work, but I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing or not thinking about that might get me into hot water down the road. Thanks in advance.
  9. I've been scouring Google for this one to no avail. Seems like a simple task, but I'm only a week into studying the DAS scripting language. Say I want to buy $1000 worth of shares at the Ask+0.05. Looking for tips on how to build this. Additionally, is there a way to build this so it fires when a future price level is reached?
  10. HI BBT, I am currently using a 2:1 Range Short - CXL ALLSYMB;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Range;HighPrice=Price;LowPrice=Price-AvgCost*2; LowPrice=AvgCost-LowPrice;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY+;Buy=Send Long - CXL ALLSYMB;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Range;LowPrice=Price;HighPrice=AvgCost-Price*2+AvgCost;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY I am sometimes getting partial fills & was wondering if anyone has or uses a Market Range? With a partial fill if I'm not around the only way out is DAS risk controls I'd like to avoid this if possible? With a partial fill it takes out my range leaving me exposed carrying the remaining shares. Thank You!!
  11. It is said ( from the trading books and experienced trading mentors) that it is better to stick with just one ( or at most two ) strategy for either day trading or swing trading. The advantages include: - by focusing on one strategy, you can better ( easier ) find out the accuracy and profit/loss ratio of your strategy; by a number of testing. - there are all kinds of entry points / setups during the day in the market, by " filtering out " the various opportunities and narrow down to just one type of setups ( entry points ) , you are easier to react to price actions that keep moving and changing, and your emotion will be more stable and easier to control and be calm. It is said that " do not attempt to catch all opportunities in the market " & " Less is more". Hope it helps.
  12. Someone asked in the chat last week how to create a hotkey that would buy a position based on a certain percentage of your available Buying Power (BP). At first, I created this with the script wizard in DAS, but it wasn't calculating correctly. I sought help from the chat and it has been figured out. Thanks to Robert H for figuring it out. I'm still not sure why the script wizard doesn't do it correctly, but whatever. Let's say you want a hotkey that buys a position based on 30% of your available Buying Power. So if your current available BP is $100,000, 30% is $30,000. I created CTRL+3 for that. Here is the script: ROUTE=SMRTL;Price=Ask+0.05;Price=Round2;Share=BP*0.3;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send If you wanted one that buys based on 10% of your BP, then: ROUTE=SMRTL;Price=Ask+0.05;Price=Round2;Share=BP*0.1;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send Please note that these two scripts also contain the rule to limit the price to no more than 5 cents above the ASK. You can adjust as necessary. I've marked in bold the part of the script that controls the # of shares based on a percentage of the Buying Power.
  13. Hello BBTs, i am still very new to trading and currently in the state of understanding the fundamentals of it. So i got stuck with the following questions : How exactly does the price move? I learned that the price makes an uptick when a transaction is made on the "ask" (aggresive buyer) and a downtick when a transaction is made on the "bid" (aggresive seller). But when I watch the Level 2 and the Time and Sales within DAS I sometimes see that there are transactions made wheather at/above the ask/bid or inside and the price doesnt move. Happens very often in the premarket and a shares traded <100 (Lot-size 0) How can a transaction be performed inside of a spread when there are only the possibilities to wheather set a price and wait that someone accepts it (limit order) or to accept a price yourself (market order) wheather on the bid or ask side? Sometimes I see on the top of Level 2 a bid and an ask and they are just 0.01 apart from each other but the spread on Level 1 shows a wider spread. How does this come? I am really looking forward to your answers and would be more than happy if you could help me with these questions. Have a nice day Lukas
  14. Hi Kyle,

My friend and I am trying to figure out why your 2:1 hotkey does not buy 925% of my buying power.  Here is your hotkey:

    CXL ALLSYMB;StopPrice=Price-0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Ask-Price+0.00;SShare=50/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=200;Price=Ask-StopPrice*2+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS TIF:DAY+

  15. The existing Panic key will put a Market order to close all positions. Of course this will not work if you are trading Post/Pre Market. Is there a hotkey which can do the same for Post/Pre Market? Example: If you are long at $20 for 1000 shares and price is going against you and is at 19.50. You then hit the Post/Pre Market panic button and it puts a limit order in for 1000 shares at 'Price - x' So this way you can define x as .05 and the panic button will place a short limit at 19.45 for 1000 shares. Your not guaranteed to be filled but if the spread is tight you most likely will be. I may be missing something but I think this would be helpful as the only way to exit currently is to drag your Short Limit for 1000 shares to some place around 19.45 to exit the trade. Thanks, Mike
  16. Hi @peterB, In the same idea, I have a weird thing going on with my "sell 100%" hotkey. Very simple need, get out completely of the remaining position (like the "Panic" button but without exiting the other positions). It used to work but I made a few adjustements on other entry hotkeys and then, this one doesn't work anymore. Here is the script I want to fix: CXL ALLSYMB;ROUTE=SMRTM;Price=BID 0.05;Price=Round2;Share=Pos*1;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send When I enter a long position with this script : CXL ALLSYMB; StopPrice=Price-0.01;DefShare=BP*0.97;Price=Ask-Price+0.01;SShare=100/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;Share=Share/4;Share=Share*4;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTM;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=1000;Price=Ask-StopPrice*3+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS*.25 TIF:DAY+;Price=Ask-StopPrice*5+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS*.25 TIF:DAY+;Price=Ask-StopPrice*7+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS*.25 TIF:DAY+;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0.3 ACT:SELL STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos*.25 TIF:DAY+; I get this type of position : Then, when I press the "sell 100%", Instead of getting everything out like the Panic button, I get this : And pressing Sell 100% again doesn't change anything. I can only exit by pressing the Panic button. In another test with a slightly different code, I could cancel all the existing orders, but the position was still open. Not very useful either. Could you tell what is going wrong, please ? Thanks a lot. Best, Pierre
  17. Hi everyone, I'm trying to change to the DASTrader platform and I'm setting everything but I'm struggling with some settings. I've seen a lot of posts regarding the same issue but none of those solved my problem. Different stocks/ETF presented in the same chart window, some y-axi scales are very extended like the attached file, and others, the y-axis is correctly fitted to the price movement. Thanks in advance
  18. Hello all, I currently have the Equalized risk keys and also OCO hotkeys. These are great but both require me to first enter a trade before the OCO is placed. I would like to Put in a limit order and an OCO order that only gets triggered when the limit order gets triggered. Is this possible? At times I just want to be able to set it and forget it. If price comes down to here then buy and instantly enter an OCO to give me stop & target. Like TradingView: If the 1000 Buy limit does not get hit then the OCO order does nothing. Thanks! Mike
  19. Thanks for sharing this Peter. That stinks and will not work for me personally. My stop loss & target are specific levels and can't be defined by R/R from current price. Seems like in some things DAS is great but others it's way behind (maybe cause they have a monopoly on the DA broker arena). I've traded with many different platforms (non DA) and OCO attached to limit's is almost always available no matter what the platform. Mike
  20. Hello, Your Hotkey works great, thanks @Day-Meister. I would like to adapt it to my needs = 3 TP instead of 4. 1 TP at 3R 1 TP at 4R 1 TP manual for the rest. 10$ risk trade. I wrote this : Long CXL ALLSYMB; StopPrice=Price-0.01;DefShare=BP*0.97;Price=Ask-Price+0.01;SShare=10/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;Share=Share/3;Share=Share*3;TogSShare;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=1000;Price=Ask-StopPrice*3+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS*.3 TIF:DAY+;Price=Ask-StopPrice*4+Ask;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:StopPrice HighPrice:Price ACT:SELL QTY:POS*.3 TIF:DAY+;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0.3 ACT:SELL STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos*.3 TIF:DAY+; Short CXL ALLSYMB; StopPrice=Price+0.01;DefShare=BP*.97;Price=Price-Bid+0.01;SShare=10/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;Share=Share/3;Share=Share*3;TogSShare;ROUTE=LIMIT;Price= bid-0.05;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;DefShare=1000;Price=StopPrice-Bid*3;Price=Bid-Price;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:Price HighPrice:StopPrice ACT:BUY QTY:POS*.3 TIF:DAY+;Price=StopPrice-Bid*4;Price=Bid-Price;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:RANGE LowPrice:Price HighPrice:StopPrice ACT:BUY QTY:POS*.3 TIF:DAY+;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice+0.3 ACT:BUY STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos*.3 TIF:DAY+; The trouble is that it creates orders with quantities that are not equals on the entry and the exit. Example : It buys 48 shares (entry) and it creates 3 orders (exit) with 15 shares each. On the exit side, I have 15 shares X 3 orders = 45 shares. So when the stop loss is hit, there is still 3 shares in open positions. Sorry, I tweaked it a bit but didn't manage to find the trick yet. Could you help me, please ? Thanks a lot. Best, Pierre
  21. So my broker Cobra offers several rebate routes if your a Liquidity Maker (best paying even .0025) (Even one that pays you .002 to be a taker) STOP orders cannot utilize any of the rebate routes and are the most expensive option (Charging .0035). So no OCO's either. Anyone found a way around this? I know my on demand Sell orders are simply LIMIT orders at BID-0.05 when I click the button. Is there some type of hotkey you could create that will cause a LIMIT orders at BID-0.05 to be entered once the stock reaches a certain price? I am new with all this routing stuff so thank you in advance Mike
  22. Thanks. I guess I was thinking that if you have say 2000 shares on a low float and need to sell and say the bid is at 18.49 and your hotkey puts in a sell limit order for 2000 shares at 18.49 but there are only 1000 shares available at that price then you would not get filled. But if you could define tolerable slippage in your hotkey then you could get filled. I'm just getting into pre/post market trading so I may be completely off
  23. First post here. Thanks for all your contribution to trading community! Amazing helpful tools to keep us in the game longterm! So I have found all the keys I need for Market Hours where I can include a stop loss with or without target with predefined Risk. Also I know I can create a an order without stop loss for Pre/Post market hours. Now the only way I see to exit a trade during pre/post market is to have a target limit order set and then drag it below / above the current price to exit the trade. So what I have not found yet is a hotkey where I can enter Long / Short with predefined risk and attach only a Target limit? This way your immediately have that target limit on your chart that you can drag below the price if it's going against you and you need to get out. Is this key available? I may have just missed it. Thanks again all! Mike
  24. Hello fellows! I am just trying to calculate the Camarila Pivots (S6 - R6) in Trade-Ideas. However, Trade-Ideas calculates different pivot points than Das Trader does. In Das Trader I do not use the pre-market data for the calculation of the pivots. It looks like the difference comes from different prices used in Trade-Ideas vs. Das Trader with regards to Close Price and High and Low of the previous trading session. Do you know how to fix this and how to get the same prices for calculation on both systems? Thanks. Michael
  25. I hear you, but disagree on a couple of points....... The "ultimate" implementation of this, would see me having (for example) 3 different hotkeys to buy 100, 200 or 300 shares (Or, short them). My trading strategy also does prescribe different levels of risk in various increments. The, in my opinion, very important distinction is that the stop loss risk level is *NOT* the only, nor primary, exit signal in the trading strategy I am using currently. I look at the price action to tell me when it's time to get out. So far, those "exit signals" have caught far more trades than the "max loss per trade" level / stop loss Today might be a good day to noodle on some DAS scripts and test in replay..... Hmmm.... need more coffee for this......
