  1. That's probably not needed, what I found is probably just a bug then. When I enabled End Time to be visible it cut it off: But I just realized that after I restarted it it's fine, so all good!
  2. Fantastic! That did it. Couple thoughts and questions: How do you get to the Strategies window you've shown? I also can't seem to edit the Valid Setup, Good Execution, or Comments fields. Is it possible to make the columns user expandable? I seem to be able to expand the first row that shows the selection arrow, but none of the others. Anyway, all in all this is an amazing pieces of software. Separate note: I also looked at your past post about creating the hotkeys for the Market Viewer - So great! I feel we have similar minds I'm always looking for ways to automate and make tedious tasks more efficient!
  3. It doesn't look like any of these will have much impact on people who use IB here in the community. Sounds like any margin loan discount you may receive for having a larger account wont be given anymore. If they need to liquidate your account because you've blown up your account, they usually give a % buffer before doing so. They are reducing this buffer for now. If your risk is very high in whatever asset you are trading, they may require you to have more equity to get margin. I don't think any of these will have an impact on the small accounts that 99.9% of BBT members have. Even an account like Andrew's most probably.
  4. I think maybe it's because you were asking to change your account, opposed to asking how to just trade with American dollars? I'm not waiting for more information as this isn't an issue for me. I only opened a chat with them to help you
  5. First, this is absolutely amazing. What a thing to give back to the community! I love that it's super clean and data-centric. Definitely my style of journaling as well! But unfortunately I can't seem to get it to run fully. It brings me to the settings screen on first open, creates the TradeReview.config file, then closing that screen (which I assume you need to do to have the main application run), will then pop this error below: Trying to run the software again will show the same error.
  6. I think this is the issue. You don't want to change your account you just want to deposit USD into your Canadian IB account and then trade with that. I just opened a chat with them a few hours ago trying to figure out this issue for you. They stated that if you deposit USD there will be no currency conversions; you will trade US stocks with your USD.
  7. When you partial you need to reset your stop loss. Most people will reset their stop loss to breakeven (where you entered) so that you can't lose your gains. This will cancel your stop loss and reset it to breakeven with the remaining position: CXL ALLSYMB;Route=Stop;StopType=MARKET;STOPPRICE=AvgCost;StopPrice=Round2;Price=StopPrice-0.3;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY+;REVERSE=Send; You can also add it on the end of a partial to do it automatically. This is selling 50% of your long position and then resetting your stop loss with the remaining shares: CXL ALLSYMB;Route=LIMIT;Share=Pos*0.5;Price=Bid-0.05;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Market;StopPrice=AvgCost;Share=Pos-share;TIF=GTC;SELL=SEND Same thing but for a short position: CXL ALLSYMB;Route=LIMIT;Share=Pos*0.5;Price=Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Market;StopPrice=AvgCost;Share=Pos+share;TIF=GTC;BUY=SEND
  8. If you look at the bottom of the original post (link) Kyle has created 2 setup videos you should definitely watch end to end first. If those don't help I don't mind jumping on a Zoom call, sharing your screen and walking you through it.
  9. Ah! It flows way better now putting Peer, Essential and Trading in front of the points in the sub-header!
  10. I'm not sure why it is doing it automatically, but in Safari in the Smart Search field you can click and hold the blue Audio button and select "Unmute Other Tab"
  11. In your scenario if your stop was hit you would now be short 50 shares unfortunately. There currently isn't a way to have a stop order set that dynamically updates to your position (POS) unless you use a range order. But that means you can't have multiple profit targets set up. Just one. I know Kyle has sent in a request to DAS for this feature.
  12. Couple thoughts: Taglines shouldn't have a negative slant in them: Don't / Mistakes / Not / etc. Taglines should be built around a prospective customer's problem and your solutions for them. Problems: "I want to make some money on the side" "I'm currently trading but not getting the results I expected" Solutions: Join a community of experts and like-minded traders Education through webinars and expert interviews Tools that will help you become more efficient (Kyle's hotkeys) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can then build taglines around that: Header: Welcome to Your Trading Community Sub-header: Get access to essential Support, Education and Resources (I would put something similar like "to make yourself a consistent day trader" on the end, but I know @Andrew Aziz is understandably apprehensive about making any promises.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a short and concise header @PilotFish is right - you can then add some details: Expert moderators Dedicated psychologist Education center Meetups Weekly webinars Benzinga Trade reviews Special hotkeys Resource sharing
  13. Right click your charts > Configure Check off Default Global Trendline. You can also check off Auto load/save global trendlines if you want those lines to save for the next time you open DAS. It's not tied to the montage though; it's tied to the ticker. So if you open the same ticker on two different montages you'll see the same lines... Somehow I don't think that will be a problem for what you want though
  14. This is a very long post, but I believe everyone should read this if you have an account with CMEG. I was hoping that CMEG was going to announce something this morning, but it looks like they wont. TL;DR: CMEG’s website had a DNS hijack deployed against it, and was redirecting users to a fake website in order to capture sensitive information. If you have a new user registration pending, or you attempted to log into the Secure Portal recently, at the least, change your password, and think about locking your credit. Facts • CMEG's DNS server was hijacked. (Look at the image below to understand how that works) • The hijack targeted new user registrations, users who had registrations pending, and users attempting to log into the Secure Portal. • The hijackers could have taken very sensitive information. • If you have logged into CMEG recently, you could be exposed. • This does not mean your deposited money isn't safe. • This was fixed in the late evening Feb 28, 2020. What happened? The hijackers redirected the "Open an Account" button/link and the "Secure Portal" login link to go to different URLs. Instead of sending users to the real URLs: https://www.cmelitegroup.com/open-an-account https://secure.cmelitegroup.com/login They were sent to the wrong URLs: https://secure.cmelitegreup.com/pro?pthh=repister https://secure.cmelitegreup.com/pro?pthh=login The fake site was designed to look identical to the real Open an Account page and the Secure Portal login page. Although after attempting to log in it Who does this affect? The hijack affects four types of users: 1. Users that attempted to log into the Secure Portal (further, users that also used the same password for the Secure Portal as they used for their new Account Management account. 2. Users that had a new account registration pending 3. Users that attempted to sign up for a new account (Only your name, email and attempted password could have been taken) What could they have taken? If you either, a) had a registration pending or b) attempted to log into the Secure Portal while the hijack was active they could see this information if your password hasn't been changed: • Name • Tax Return • Social Security Number • Bank Statements • Passport • Drivers License • Messages between you and CMEG One note about the Secure Portal - it is not the same place where you can go to see your account balance, trades, or instigate a withdrawal. These things are in the Account Management page, and use a different login (assuming you didn't use the same password). Additional thoughts This was not a DNS hijack targeting me alone. CMEG didn’t believe me (as the hijack was being hidden on their network - they couldn’t see that their URLs were changed). I verified it by getting different people around the country to test and see that the URL was changed for them too. If you used the same password when signing up for an account (the Secure Portal) as you did when creating a login for the Account Manager, they could log in and see your trades and account size. While I think people's money is safe, unfortunately the withdrawal request is simply a PDF document; the hijackers would have all the information needed to request a withdrawal. That being said, I believe it would not work because: 1. CMEG does require KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation. So the name on the bank account would have to be yours (although they could set up a new bank account in your name with all the information they could have taken). 2. Hopefully they would see the bank information wouldn't match the original deposit method. 3. CMEG would see that the request was coming from a different email address (but maybe they could spoof that too). I do not know how long CMEG's DNS server was hijacked for. So I can't tell you if you're safe if you haven't logged in for the past 1 day, 1 month or 1 year. My belief is that the hijackers would want the lowest hanging fruit: your email. For the sole purpose of trying to send you phishing emails.
  15. I'm guessing by you saying you tried multiple "search engines" you mean "browsers"? Search engines are Google, Bing, etc. Browsers are Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc. Anyway, I think your first step is just to try another computer in the house. That would help determine if it's an ISP issue or router issue. If another computer has no issue, then we can move onto your computer. It's definitely not that the chat room is busy.
  16. Gotta agree with Brendon here. I think it should focus on examples and implementation. I don't think many people in the community will be interested or even understand the Math and the Breakdown of the hotkey itself...
  17. @evan @peterB There is actually the option for short SSR built right into Kyle's hotkey file. It's just in a drop down on the Hot Keys tab.
  18. I understand - I think it may be the order you've set up the hotkey. This works for double clicking on the chart and setting a Market Stop Loss when long: ;CXL ALLSYMB;Route=Stop;Share=Pos;StopPrice=Price;TIF=DAY+;Price=StopPrice;StopType=MARKET;SELL=Send; And for when Short: ;CXL ALLSYMB;Route=Stop;Share=Pos;StopPrice=Price;TIF=DAY+;Price=StopPrice;StopType=MARKET;BUY=Send;
  19. Not quite sure what's wrong... but this script will bring your stop loss to break even in either direction (Short or Long): CXL ALLSYMB;Route=Stop;Price=AvgCost;StopType=MARKET;STOPPRICE=AvgCost;StopPrice=Round2;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY+;Send=Reverse;
  20. No real list. It's more just remembering over time (which you will have no problem doing!) and just looking at the charts. You can see algo stocks will wick up and down in a specific range. Take Ford for example ($F). This is an extreme example, but you can see how this isn't tradable:
  21. I think what was meant was that some stocks predictably trade choppy or trade like algos are trading them. Nothing that's really going to give you an edge.
  22. $2.95 per trade. And yes, going per share is more beneficial when you aren't trading more than 740 shares. There is a whole thread for CMEG that will have useful information for you
