Hey Mark! Welcome to BBT! That's very interesting and so true. Many that try to learn to day trade to support a certain lifestyle are likely not to make it very far. Trading is something that takes time before the reward is received and consistency is build. And if people start with the pressure to make a living out of it immediately usually end up failing and giving up. Glad that you are aware of those pitfalls. Smart approach to try it out for couple of months and see if this is for you. We know trading is not for everyone but if your going to try it give it your best shot and see where it takes you. Once again welcome!

That is the smart move! CMEG is great but you want to a min start with $2,500, we recommend $5K but $2,500 is ok. Anything less than that could be really difficult just to cover the cost of operations. But you can learn and practice in sim while you build the capital. That is a very smart move.

Hey Rowan, welcome to the community! Yes you are correct. If you are short and you enter a RANGE Order it will react as you described the High Price will now be the STOP with a Market order and the Low Price will be executed as a LIMIT order.

Hey James, just signed it as well. I agree with Andrew, I think eventually it will go away or be reduced. Unlike before a lot more people want to trade, there is power in numbers. Also with all the changes in brokers in our field, it would not surprise me if this does happen.

lol Ed same thing with me. I was happy as hell when I heard about this... then huge disappointment when I found it it does not stay lol... Every time you close everything down it resets and you need to do it again. Now if you are trading a lot of scanners it might make sense to do this one in the morning to not have to keep typing the ticker but if not is pointless. Hopefully in the future they can find a fix to it.

This is a good topic and we can put something together on this. We will put a rush on getting this done.

Hey Antony, thanks for the feedback and the answer is YES, we are open to suggestions on topics you guys want to hear about. We encourage everyone to give us things they want us to discuss in future Workshops. Brian is working on putting something together on this. He is traveling a few days this month so in talks with him, he is looking to get something up for us in October. Looking forward to it myself as he is really good with these strategies. This is so true Mark, instead of beating ourselves up we need to look at it as opportunities to improve and learn from them. Daily Trading Coach is an amazing book must read for anyone that has not yet.

Marcel, I have pretty much the same set up.

Yes usually anything I have to do with CMEG I email them at [email protected] and the responses have been great. The do not respond to call timely and this has unfortunately been like this for sometime but through emails you can get anything you need done. Great thing also is once you are set up there is not much interaction you will be having with CMEG, and with just a great uptime (meaning very very rarely is the Das system ever down) you are not contacting them for immediately issues. I have been with them for months now and they have been really great.

Hi Kelly, You do not have to pay for both, when you get Das Trader Pro with IB or any other broker. It comes with a demo account as well. That is included in your monthly fee, you will only be paying $150. It is also very easy to switch from Live to Demo with Das Trader Pro. There is one login only but once you log in you have several options to switch from Real and Sim, you can do it manually on the montage, you can define it by hotkeys or you can change the overall global setting to Real or Sim.
