Any opinion on tc2000 platform and brokerage? Personally i like it alto i don't know how will behave in real time trading. What surprised me is that clearing firm is Interactive Brokers. TC2000 is less expensive then DAS but i just finshed my 14 day DAS trial (i had only 2 days of practice trading- due to my work-and i went "crazy") i liked v much

Hi! I'm glad it's been helpful! Yes, I'm doing it for 2020. I'll create another topic with a Google Drive link to both 2019 and 2020 spreadsheets once I have the latter completed until April. I'll also upload a comissions spreadsheet that William H. created for IB comissions and that I used to create a CMEG comissions spreadsheet based on the BBT discount that we have (the original spreadsheet can be found in the Education Center - The Complete Guide to Understanding Comissions).

Hey guys, just found this thread. I know I'm late, oh well, I just want the community to learn the awesome things Kyle has made. Video won't fit here so I'll just email to Admins and hopefully they can upload it for everyone. https://youtu.be/ypJzZwMCq_Q

It would be great if we can have a success webinar or class on the different partialing methods from the moderators. Which they prefer, or if the went all out, etc... At which point the go out (round numbers, risk reward ratio, etc.) Thanks Joerg

Just wanted to come back and answer my own question on this, in case someone else needs it in the future. You can place alerts more quickly now by clicking on the chart. Steps: 1) Right click on a chart > Chart Area > Config Area. Check the box in the bottom-right that says "Enable placing alert on chart". 2) Next, you must create a hotkey (Setup > Hot Key > Add New Item). I have simple scripts for when price crosses above or below my alert price. I'll share them: Price crosses ABOVE alert price: AlertName=newalert;AlertType=LastPrice;AlertOperator=>=;AddAlert Price crosses BELOW alert price: AlertName=newalert;AlertType=LastPrice;AlertOperator=<=;AddAlert 3) Open the Alerts window (Tools > Alert & Trigger). This window NEEDS to be open for the hotkeys to work, so I now just have it permanently fixed in my Desktop layout. 4) Now, when you press your hotkey, an arrow with an "A" next to it will show up on the chart, and you simply click the price where you'd like the alert to be placed. (NOTE: The first time you click, you'll get an error message that says "Placing alert failed". Just click again and it will work. This is a bug and I've reported it to DAS already.

I would suggest using Stop Market, to prevent exactly what happened to you. I would only use stop limit to enter into a position. If you are using Stop Limit for a stop, in your case, you are essentially telling the system "Exit my position at that price but NOT PAST the limit price." So if it passes your limit price, you don't want to exit? That doesn't seem to make sense....remember the stock market can remain irrational way longer than you are rational. Good luck! PS. It sounds like you might be setting your risk amount a bit too high if you are just starting, and are able to lose hundreds (or thousand) in a matter of seconds.
