    • Greetings!   I am Gjeret, from just outside of Milwaukee. Mid 40’s, wife, kids., business owner. I have been running an IT services Firm since 2007, have a few employees and have been profitable every year (even if it was just profitable)  and.... I am tired of it.  Not the tech, but the clients and the emergency calls at 2am, the Amazon affect decimating any hardware profits, and small business owners taking the advice of they Kid at Best Buy or the neighbors 13yo over the advice of an expert. The HR aspects of the business, the “work when you want” unless a client has an emergency or schedules a move.  So...   One of my very very very successful friends owns a software firm, as we were getting drunk at a food crawl, he confided in  me that his money wasn’t from the tech, that just funded him, his money was from the stock market   That has always been in the back of my mind GME got me interested enough to open a Robinhood account, then a Webull and fidelity account.  Learned the hard way not to chase a meme stock, and found a saying on Reddit... Bulls make money, Bears make money, Pigs get slaughtered. I got slaughtered  but, got back up, picked up a book off Amazon (day trading for a living),  reading that trading was work, but there was a trainable process and was often boring ...  I need some boring!  That sounds wonderful! that book led me to this website, so I signed up..
    • you need to keep the BP there otherwise it would not work in cases which would require a bigger than you BP position size the invalid price could be that you are trading a stock which has more than 2 decimal values but it is just a guess and you need to find out which work and which do not work but if a price is 0.274 and you want to set a stop at 0.270 it might be the case of rounding for 2 decimals. in that case you would need the Round3 command to implement into the script
    • Hi guys... Really delighted with finding your comunity. I came across Kyle's scripts with equilized risk and since then trying to implement them in my trading strategies. However they don't work for me all the time at the moment. More often than not I get the "Can't get valide price" error message. It happens randomly so it's hard for me to find the solution. I tried fresh installs and also older versions. I tried to edit the scripts in different variations. Nothing works. I mostly trade low priced OTC's and sometimes subpenny stocks. Yes, more often it happens when I trade those subpennies but sometimes it happens even with 0.50$ stocks. I was thinking maybe to include "Round" in the script, but I trade stocks with diverse number of decimals and it means that for each category of price I would have to make separate hotkeys with according "Round". Maybe there is something I am missing. Please have a look at the script I am using : CXL ALLSYMB;StopPrice=Price-0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Ask-Price+0.00;SShare=50/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price= Bid+0.00;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=200;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0.00 ACT:SELL STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos TIF:DAY+;  I always trade using $ amount of risk. Can I delete the BP part from the script so it doesn't complicate it or it would be a stupid idea?  It is a brilliant script when it's doing the job though... Any help will be much appreciated...
    • Hello everyone. My name is Jonathan (JR on the chat) and have been here for almost a month now I think.  I live in the UK in North London. I worked in ABN AMRO (yes I worked with the credit derivatives desk at the fold!) , RBS and finally UBS many years ago in sales and was looking to transfer over to sales trading. I actually left the banks and have been a property developer ever since. The last few years have been very tough running larger and larger jobs. I finally realised I need to take a step back so I'm intending to shift to pure development by contracting all works out to main contractors and this has opened up time to finally realise my old and constant dream of trading for a living. Working the US markets is perfect as it allows me to do my diligence for the first half of the day in the other business and concentrate on trading in the afternoon. As per probably everyone here and certainly those lucky enough to stumble across it Andrews book opened up a realisation of day trading without the reports and analysts working for the institutional investors that appears truly viable. Due to my history and constant interest in the markets I feel I have a good base of understanding; unfortunately nothing that applies to technical chart analysis. However the books I have read thanks to BBT have hugely improved that knowledge.  I have been trading sim on DAS since I set it up and although I know I've only been guessing it has allowed me to put into practice working from the indicators and understanding of candlesticks. Currently putting together a trade book and intend to continue in the sim for another month or 2 dependant on consistency and profitability.  Very much looking forward to getting involved with the community and learning and helping where I can. As an aside I just want to say how impressive the systems and education that has been put together by BBT is. As a company owner what I learnt in a few short hours from Mr. Baehr's videos alone was embarrassing. Thank you for what you have created and the vast wealth of information provided. BBT is so much more than I expected when I signed up and I feel you have certainly provided me more than my money's worth.
