@ShoTrader  suggested today  in the chatroom we should start posting recaps by people in simulator. Se here is the deal, if you are in sim make your recap loaded with your learnings and insights, upload it to your youtube channel and post it in this thread.

Make sure you explain the strategy / pattern, entries/ exits, reasons to entry / exit, risk:reward and your advice / tips to fellow traders. Fellow BBT members will provide feedback on your recaps.

Nice trade @Abiel and I loved your entry and executions :DD, voice was perfect, I think it's the best time to apply for euro-vision xD

@Bibonow I loved your patience, a stock moving 50 cents and more and you're still holding till it hits your target! I'm still working on that, but it's tough, I actually won't say you did a terrible mistake not covering there) You've the patience! Everything else can be worked on :DD

Ok guys.  Just had my 1st trade ever today.  Virgin Voyage, so to speak!

At my skill level, I don’t really have a strategy whatsoever and pretty much acted on intuition (with some caution).  MU opened at $52.54 and seemed choppy.  By 9:55am, it dropped down to around $52.15 and started to reverse.  I thought it would be a good time to get in at $52.25 and acted on it.  My stop loss was set mentally (don’t really know how to set stop loss in DAS yet and I would have to click “sell” manually if it started to drop) at $51.80.  Luckily, it went upward steadily in that 20 minutes that I held on to it.  By the time it hit $52.70, I decided to grab my first win!

Lesson learned:  It really takes a lot of concentration to day trade.  I hardly took my eyes off the MU chart in that 20 minutes.  So it will be awhile for my skill level to handle multiple trades at once.

Thanks, Ercilia182, but I messed up Friday afternoon doing a large size trade (10,000 shares of BBOX).   I made the mistake of thinking if I traded MU at $52 for 400 shares then trading BBOX at $1.90 for 10,000 shares would be about right in terms of trading capital.  HUGE mistake!  Seeing the price movement going up/down so fast ($100 per sec for gain/loss for my position!), I got panicked and kept pressing the wrong buttons (buying instead of selling!) in the montage window.  And I ended up with a loss of -$1,480 with BBOX in less than few minutes!  Guess that is exactly what SIM is for, learning from mistakes without losing real money.

This morning I traded 4 stocks with a total gain of +$364 for the day so I am less discouraged.   MU (400 shares) +$50 (2 tickets), BBOX (2,000 shares) +$120 (3 tickets), TWTR (400 shares) +$44 (2 tickets), GRPN (hit the touchpad of my laptop twice to wake up the display and accidentally bought extra 4,000 shares so the total was 6,000 shares) +$150 (5 tickets)

My goal for this week is to slowly recover the loss from last Friday.

Hi Abiel, I would like to apology that I am not exactly following the format you have set to do SIM recaps in this thread.  I am still trying to figure out a good and efficient way to document my SIM process.  Doing videos or even doing screenshots is a bit tedious and I found writing is much easier to express my thoughts/insight etc.

Thanks all!

$BBOX is a low float stock (+/-12M) so they could be very volatile. MU float is +1B. Also we need to watch stock ATR, bigger ATR the stock price moves more. One way for Traders to get inconsistent results is trading low and mid/hig floats: they lose a lot of money in low floats and they make modest money in bigger floats.

In $BBOX trade you were using $19K USD of your buying power, and in $MU trade $20K it is important that while you are trading in sim you do it with the buying power you are going to have in your live account.

Yes, Abiel.  i am very conscious of the limit of my buying power even in SIM.  All my trades so far were done one at a time without any overlapping so I have never exceeded my buying power of $25,000.  To start developing good habits, I have also decided not to buy on margins (crossing my fingers).  Thanks for the tip on watching stock ATR.  There is so much to learn....

Argh.  Just realized that buying power means capital ($25,000) + margins ($100,000).

Hi guys, I tried to record a video and everything, but it was messed up xD, I'll try to do it tomorrow, today I'm just gonna type a loooooot)), hopefully someone enjoys it))

Anyway, my first trade for today was MU. At first MU looked to me as an oppening range break down, it was selling off making lower lows and lower highs, so I was waiting for a pullback to go short, and it actually gave that pull back at 9.36, as you can see I took it short there, but the second I took it short I noticed something else, 9.34 was a doji, 9:35 was higher high and higher low, 9:36 it was sruggling to go down, therefore after 15 secs I covered everything and at the same moment I went long! My entry was 54,50, my stop loss was the low of the 9:35 candle, I covered third of my position at 54,85 for 50 cents profit, and after a minute I missclicked and sold everything! I knew this wasn't the end of the move up, I panicked because I sold all the position while I could have made more, and I was thinking whether I should get back or just go to the next trade, my psycology was messed and at 9:41 I decided to go long again with the 2 thirds which I sold, I didn't plan anything, no stop loss, no exit target, nothing, therefore I was nervous, I can't make my stoploss at 54.5 as I'd have done before.. I didn't think of that when I took the trade again, therefore I sold everything below the 9ema 1 min chart, once I sold I regret again, I mean if I was calm, I'd have thought about it this way, MU made 60 cents move up, stocks usually make pullbacks to 9 or 20 ema after such a big moves, my second entry wasn't the best but it actually was good enough, I could have put my stop loss below the 20, which it didn't break and it eventually went higher!! The good thing I was still up a bit green

My second trade on MU was at 10:34, I noticed that MU was trending, it broke the 20 2 times with 5 cents below it, so At 10:34 I decided to go long with a stop loss 5 cents below the 20, the risk was 7 cents, I didn't have any levels above, so to make it 2:1 I decided to cover at 14 cents half of my profit, which was the high of the 10:31 candle, and I covered the rest at 5.60 close to break even, it was actually a mistake of me to do that, I know it's not in the chart, but what happened is that it dropped to 55:59, then bounced to as high as 55.9.

2.jpg.debd22937ead7367321dc28de230f3c0.jpg

My third stock was BLIN, Same as MU, it made very huge move up, and as mentioned above, stocks tend to make a pullback to 9 or 20 after those moves before they go higher again, what I did is waiting for the stock to drop to see if it holds the 9 or drops below the 20, at 9:56 I saw that red candle failed to close below the 9, and 9:57 candle was holding the 9 so I thought it's a good entry, 20 ema and VWAP were only 10 cents below my entry, my reward was 3.27 at first, but I saw it climbing fast so I decided to cover a bit higher, I covered at 3.35 at first, 3.40 second third, then I saw it holding 3.4/3.45 lvl so I decided to get out at 3.35, this was overscaling around the same level but overall I think I did well, at 10:13 you can notice I went long again, that was because I saw the stock holding itself above the 3.1, I decided to go long as soon as it breaks the 20, once it did I went long, my first target was 3.27, then 3.45, but again hotkey mistake and I covered above the break even, my stop losss was below the 20 ema.

3.thumb.jpg.d3716ef160695ef1a99cc73317f75fef.jpg

My next trade on BLIN were at 10:36, it was  a strong stock for more than an hour and a half, it was making higher highs and lows  before that minute, then it suddenly dropped, I decided to take it long with a stop loss below the 50, target was the high of 10:35 candle, I was a bit nervous I don't know why, I sold all at 10:44 5 cents below my entry point, now looking at it I see that it found a suppoprt, 10:42 was a hammer, next candle didn't even go red, I still panicked I don't know why, but as soon as it broke the 20 I went long with a stop below the 20, I covered all at 3.62.

Last trade on BLIN was at 11:07, I noticed it was holding the blue lane I draw, so I went long above VWAP with a stop below it. I sold everything at 3.3, I don't remember if it was a hotkey mistake or I wanted to sell everything, anyway, I should get used to sell a part and hold the rest to go higher

4.thumb.jpg.b7fb7e14a8dca2988c73b8d68f14af94.jpg

This trade I'm really proud of, I forgot to take a picture for the 15 min chart, anyway, this stock has been selling off for a long time, I was babysitting it for 40 mins waiting for a reversal, I usually try to take reversals when down trending stock breaks above the 20 with some volume, here we can see that it broke it at 11:22, but I didn't go long because there was the 50sma above it, I waited for the stock to break above it, then I went long, along with that, 15 mins chart had this, small red candle, after it almsot a doji, and finally a candle which was controlled by buyers which was a good confirmation for a reversal for me, I covered 25% at 50.70, 15 cents profit, just to gain some profit, I then was waiting for it to go higher but I didn't like the price action, it was moving slower  than I expected.. I had to leave, so to make it worth, I set a range stop loss/profit target as Andrew explained in his lessons, my stop loss was at break even, target was 50.85, eventually it hit my target,  I still didn't leave by that time, I saw it climbing fast, wanted to cancel my order, but it hit it fast.. it was a small profit considering it moved +1 or 2 dollars, but it was a good trade, @Brendon was looking for this reversal as well, I believe he took it even before me)) I started watching it closely because he talked about a possible reversal :DD

5.thumb.jpg.77f799da2adc0b5e6000602a23d5dded.jpg

My final stock I traded was TWTR. as MU and BLINK, it moved up, I waited for a pullback to the 9, or 20, I waited for the stock to sell of, the red candle closed above the 9, then the 9.37 candle didn't go below the 9 ema so I decided to go long with a stop loss below the VWAP, and first profit target the high of the first move, I covered a part at 44.8, sold the rest at 45, it was 35 or 40 cents move, I need to teach myself to keep 25% of the stocks for the break even or a move higher.. Something I try to work on, but my greed always tells me to take the profits...

My losing trade on TWTR was at 9:50, The stock was going higher,  then it reversed to VWAP, 9:48, 9:49 candles held above VWAP, I believed it was going to bounce back, even though I heard @Andrew Aziz telling it's a short, I decided to stick to my plan, I went long above the 20, with a stop loss below the VWAP, the stock dropped fast, I was stopped out for 25 cents loss, it was a big loss considering I wanted to risk maximum 15 cents, but it did drop fast, at10:01 or 02 I decided to go long above the 50, but fast I changed my mind, I told myself I'm being stubborn about it, and forcing a stock to go myway won't change anything so I went out for 5 or 7 cents loss

6.thumb.jpg.28ad4f127fad7387b5580980060dfe26.jpg

Hopefully someone read this all :PP Next time I'll try to make a video about it

BTW, thanks @fernando for his blog and lessons, I actually started going on pullbacks after he went on mic and talked about going on trades only on pullbacks instead of chasing them, that's actually enough profitable and less risky, and makes good entries))
