I use TechSmith Capture. I am quite happy with it. You can save it as an image, link or video.

I believe that you have to use IBKR PRo to link with DAS. If you get the tiered comms plan, they charge a "minimum" 35 cents per ticket. Not sure all the differences, so you'd have to ask IB.

If you already have a brokerage, and don't plan to spend at least 3 months in SIM, then there's no reason to not get the live one. If you plan on spending at least three months in SIM, you can get it through BBT for a pretty significant discount, but it can't be linked to a brokerage. $300 for three months. https://bearbulltraders.com/order-das-simulator/

You might have to click in the top right where it says BBT Scanners and select Peter's screen since you have the lock symbol there

For me - I use limit orders to open positions (buy or short) and market orders to close them (sell or cover). Really, if you're selling a position, you want to close your position at the best price available without delay. The nightmare scenario is to be short a stock that suddenly belts up and you're stuck trying to use limit orders that won't fill.

I use a Mac with a Windows partition. I've just upgraded to a nice new 2020 MacBook pro, but before that I was trading using a 2012, 4GB Ram, 11" screen MacBook Air, all using DAS, and whilst also screen recording and following the chatroom. I never had a problem, and I'm not sure there could have been a worse computer to be set up on! So no, I don't think you need a particular kind of computer. Sure if you're pulling in thousands a day then you might as well invest in a flashy gaming computer, but really a good internet connection is much more important IMO.

Hey Aaron - You'll know better than me of course! But are you being a bit tough on yourself saying you traded to trade? This was an ORB which by definition happens at the open, it's not like you've been sat on your hands for an hour and the trade comes through boredom. So was it trading to trade? The set up here looks alright to me, the stock broke down. You've got the red dotted line which I guess is a pre-market support level, looking at the PM candles there. I guess waiting for the price to break and hold below that level before entering might have made more sense, but I'm not totally convinced this was such a terrible trade. I guess ask yourself, if you got resolution and the stock flushed as you hoped it would, would you feel lucky? Or would you feel like you made a good trade that worked out? As I say, only you'll really know for sure 🙂 To me it doesn't look like a total dog's breakfast and I do think your entry is justifiable.

WOW at the difference between All Trades and Tradebook Only trades. I'd love to hear your thoughts/see what you developed during the PCT Bootcamp, I'm doing it on this next go around coming up. As for your not being able to stay away from trades outside of your Tradebook - how long had you been trading before you did the Bootcamp? I'm coming up on 2 years trading and for some reason I don't understand, I've found this calm and have started only letting myself trade "my trades" (playbook in my head, I don't have a real one...yet). Depending on how long you've been trading, I'm thinking the change finally comes along when you've lost enough money and get sick of telling yourself every night "tomorrow I'm GOING to do it this way!"

Hi. I have 3 years since I started reading about day trading. I have been trading life 2 years I am just starting to get profitable. I am down mostly because of the hulk days. It is a different journey for every one. But for me the keys are: 1 - Risk the same amount in every trade. Start small, proper stop loss (important level, EMAs, VWAP, etc.) . Entries close to those levels. 2 - Tradebook with very clear setups (entry, stop loss and exit) 3 - More or less a target to stop trading but no to take too many trades ( I mean for example, stop trading after 8 trades no matter the P&L) 4 - Journal (I use tradervue) 5 - Keep your days green, then your weeks are going to be green an so your month. Hope that help you. I am available for any question.

09.Jul.19 Here is an example of this setup from 9.Jul.19. I took a Live trade on this. Because there was a Resistence at the top, Price didn't move a lot. That is why I prefer William's Harmonious charts with ATH/ATL (doesn't happen often though).
