  1. Hi all - my name is Mark and I currently Iive in DT Bellevue. I'm not a native of the area, I was born and lived in Vancouver, BC most of my life and have been in this area for about the last 10 years. I have a full time job as a finance director at one of the region's tech company's. I've been learning how to trade for the past year and joined BBT after reading Andrew's first book. I'm still in the SIM and don't have a plan to transition to real until I feel like my skill level is ready and I am in no rush to do so. Other fun facts about me: I am a keen motorcyclist and ride a 2018 Aprilia Tuono V4 factory, I am also an avid cyclist but have taken the last year off due to injury. I spend a lot of my free time working on my trading knowledge whether its reading books or reviewing my journals. Looking forward to meeting other traders in the area!
  2. Great to see a few BBT members here in the PNW! Lets start a thread to introduce ourselves, include any information you are comfortable with. - how have you been a BBT member - how long have you been trading - are you a full-time trader, or is this a side thing - region you are located in - anything else you are willing to share so fellow PNW BBT members can get to know you!
  3. JVargas - my 2c My setup: 2017 MacBook Pro 15" core i7 with discrete GPU. I also have the resources maxed in Parallels. I notice that when I run Duet to use my iPad as a second screen, DAS sometimes gets choppy when the resources are pinned. Otherwise, I haven't noticed any issue. Not sure what hardware you are running, but one thing I might try is to run windows in bootcamp instead and use that for trading in the morning. Parallels can still access the image and run it in VM when you want to use windows and Mac OS at the same time.
  4. there is a option to double click the chart to trade in the chart config. that should set the montage to the chart you double click.
  5. I'm using Parallels on a 2016 MacBook Pro 13". I believe it has the Skylake Intel core i5 with 16gb of RAM. In Parallels I assign the VM 3 processors, 8gb of RAM And 1gb of video memory (out of 2 gb total). I just started trading 2 weeks ago, but so far DAS has been running without any issues in SIM. I have configured a dual monitor setup and it seems to work fine, though I have not used it in action. I have been using Parallels for a few years for work without any issue. In fact Windows runs better on my Mac in VM then it does on my work issued Surface... I do not perform heavy computing tasks for work, mostly Excel and Powerpoint. Personally, I would only buy an official copy of Windows for trading use. Given you will be accessing your financial accounts, I wouldn't take any risks. But I"m not an expert in these areas, so that's just my 2 cents.
  6. Curious if anyone has experience with Lightspeed trading platform? If so please post your opinion vs DAS! Main reason I am looking at it is I used a Mac, and it seems to support OSX vs DAS which I need to run in a Windows VM. Thanks!
