    July 3&5, 2019 - No Trade Challenge Traded sim on Wednesday for the purposes of seeing how my emotions were after pressing the enter hotkey. To my surprise, the same thoughts were occurring when I entered a sim trade. Obviously, the level of emotion was far less, but the same thought process that was occurring immediately after I entered the trade. I noticed it was not the $ risk per trade that is bothering me; rather, upon entry my first thought is about being wrong, so when the natural pullback occurs it re-enforces my thought process of being wrong and increases my anxiety level. I spent some time on Wednesday and Thursday pondering how I am going to tackle this, but still did not come up with a solid plan, so when no stocks met my pre-market criteria on Friday, I choose to take the No Trade Challenge with William H. I saw a couple of good entry points on $KTPI and $AMD, but I just sat back and watched. Interestingly, when I identified these entry points and it crossed the moving average that would have triggered an entry, I had the same thoughts cross my mind. Overall the last three days have been quite productive in the psychology realm. Going to go hit the running route now and ponder how to tackle this demon.     Your Hot Key window went blank. You can't see the spread sheet that is inside the Hot Key window. You can't make edit to the hotkeys. You know that your hotkey.htk is not corrupt. Please take a look at the screen shot that I have provided. After an hour with the good lad from DAS Pro they come to the conclusion that it is a bug that will be resolved. It seem that the multiple monitor is the culprit. But for the mean time this is how you resolved the issue: 1. Move the Hot Key window to the main monitor of your multiple monitor setup and do your editing of the Hot Key from there. This is the most logical resolution for my purpose. 2. Under Scale and Layout in your Window's Display setting you want to change all the monitor that you have to the same number of percentage for the setting: Change the size of text, apps, and other items. But doing this affect my monitor resolution that is not conducive to a harmonious experience so I personally stay away from this solution. This is what I got and what I learned. If you need detail instruction or help I might consider directly contacting DAS. I'm afraid I will not be able to help you much cause I am not an expert. I only post this because I have searched the forum and was not able to find a solution.

    7/5/19 - Accepted the No Trade Challenge today. I'm reading the Price Volume Book, so I got a chance to see that in practice without anything at stake. Looking forward to coming back strong on Monday.

    My (first) question: They say "never trade with scared money." However, I always say that all my money is important to me, so all of it is scared. As a result I am a chronic "under-trader". How do you recommend I/anyone get over my fear of losing money to be able to effectively trade the set-ups I know will work if I can just put my money on the line? Thanks!

    Hey guys, I was recommended Mark Douglas webinar by Peter last week and I spent most of my weekend watching it. 4 parts that add up roughly to over 6 hours of video. It was worth watching. For someone like me who has been only trading live for 3 weeks this was a very important step after reading Andrew and Brian's books and watching all Carlos's and RobertH's videos on YouTube. If you still experience fear like I do and don't have time to watch all 4 parts see below my quick recap. Mark Douglas Psychological Trading Skills Learn how to trade without fear. Finding an EDGE - higher probability of one thing happen over another. Think in probabilities - your fear will go away. Commit yourself to think about trading in other way - your fear will go away. Self-sabotaging beliefs - get rid of them. If you change your expectations - your fear will go away. If you don’t define risk you operate from the mindset that you know what’s going to happen. Putting a stop doesn’t mean you genuinely accepted the risk. Because EDGES show up in every time frame, technical analysis turns the markets into unending stream of opportunities to enrich oneself. Not on a trade-by-trade basis, but rather as a percentage over a series of trades. Manage your expectations. You expect random outcome - you got random outcome. There is no emotion significance. Don’t be shitting like an elephant and eating like a bird. All change is a function of desire. Sincerity - it can’t be a lip service it has to be real. I don’t have to know what happens next to make money. Stop Analyzing. There is nothing to analyze. When you get the signal - stop thinking. Just put the trade on. Take an EDGE’u’cated guess. That means you have probabilities in your favor. Disconnect - no two moments are alike - every moment in the market is unique. Focus on a process of trading not an outcome. I am a consistent winner.     Hey guys! A bit of a while since I posted or been on the chat, just took some time away from trading and the studying (I was actually having dreams about charts and trades) so I decided to take some time away, rest my brain and come back reloaded, fresh and relaxed. I was stressing out over something that was and still is some months away. Since I decided I want to trade with IB (thus need at least 25k) since the withdrawal from CMEG was very slow and complicated. Anyway, i've missed you all and ill be seeing you on monday! Fernando S.
