Green day, walked away with + $604.97 for the day - Up $1035.47 for the week. 2.22 profitability ratio and 57.1% strike rate today.

Traded 3 symbols and 7 trades. Good day, although I left Money at the table serious but all symbols were choppy low floats per Stocks in Play today, so was being extra cautious. More of scalping as I do not trust these. Best Trade was the THST Short reversal

How I did per process guidelines today (RULES)

Rules for this week

  • Trade 2 - 5 trades - Did only 2 Symbols - Score 100%
  • Get out when you have Green or Respect Daily Limit- Done - Score 80% (Execution Error)
  • Good setups with Good R:R - Score 80% - Chased 2
  • Use proper scaling to exit - 80%
  • Trade only 9:35 to 11:30 - Done - Score 100%
  • size appropriately - Yes, mostly..  - Score 100%

OVERALL SCORE TODAY: 68.00% (B+)

Green day, walked away with + $457.92 for the day - Up $1493.39 for the week. 4.49 profitability ratio and 54.5% strike rate today.

Traded 4 symbols and 11 trades. Good day, although there were lot of execution errors and fumbling in DAS.

How I did per process guidelines today (RULES)

Rules for this week

  • Trade 2 - 5  Symbols  - Score 100%
  • Get out when you have Green or Respect Daily Limit- Done - Score 100% (Execution Error)
  • Good setups with Good R:R - Score 80% - Chased 2
  • Use proper scaling to exit - 90%
  • Trade only 9:35 to 11:30 - Done - Score 100%
  • size appropriately - Yes, mostly..  - Score 100%

OVERALL SCORE TODAY: 68.00% (A)

Red day, walked away with - $461.25 for the day - Up $1032.14 for the week. 0.39 profitability ratio and 37.5% strike rate today.

Traded 5 symbols and 8 Trades. I traded pretty bad, I chased on 1, missed a stop on 1 and cut too soon. If i had avoided that, it was more than likely I would have hit my target. I called it a day after hitting 3 misses in a row close to my Daily Loss limit of $500.00 Anyways it is all in good learning before I go live.

  • size appropriately - Yes, mostly..  - Score 100%

I am now at a dangerous junction - I feel I am at the cusp and 80% There.

I analyze my trades on losing days and than know exactly where I went wrong, its simple:

Chasing, & Cutting short too soon. I am happy with my entries mostly and comfortable with sizing.

Like today, if i had not chased first trade, and let the second MY trade run and scaled.. I would have hit my target in the positive instead of losing money.

But than I go back and I repeat the same stuff, its like dieting, I am going good than I have a cheat day, unfortunately, no cheat days allowed in Trading.

Anyways, pray for me, hope for me and wish me luck, I get over this final hurdle!!!!!, I don't mind being stopped out on a valid trade, but chases, no way.... and I have to scale. Tomorrow is another day....

Sorry for the rant, but a good journal should record all stuff, even emotional stuff......

Process goals for today

1. No high risk OR or gap no gontrades

2. No trade in first 5 minutes

3 good r:r entey

4 no chase

5 exit with clean trades

This is awesome insight! I love your comparison to dieting. Yes, there are no cheat days in the market, not if you want to stay solvent. I love reading your entries and I'm confident that you will succeed. You are well equipped for facing the markets as long as you approach things the way you have been with your statistics keeping and journaling. As for wishing you luck, I don't think you need it. Just remember, according to Seneca, "luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity." Keep up the great work!

Green day, walked away with - $710.25 for the day - Up $1742.39 for the week. 4.09 profitability ratio and 85.7% strike rate today.

Great Day, traded 3 symbols, 7 trades and 29 executions. Does not get better at this time for me.  All were valid trades. I did exit early on AMAT long but re-entered, that was .a fumble costing me a bit and added commissions.

Green week. $1872.14. 1.63 ratio and 56.9% strike rate. 

41 out of 53 trades were valid. 

Getting better. 77% valid. Still trying to reduce overtrading and avoiding chases plus letting winners ride. 

Will get there!

Plan for trading

1. No chases . Wait for valid entries or pull backs  

2. Valid trades only with goor R:R

3. Honor stops and scales

4. Only quality setups

5. Limit trading to 2-4 trades

6. Max loss of $300 per trade. Limit to less. Max loss per day $300 walk away.

I am on vacation next week and won’t be trading nor posting updates. 

Fyi I am going live when I come back. Account is all ready to go! I will be starting with 1/5 size. Not sure if I’ll post here or start new thread.
