Hot Buttons

Hello,

Does anyone know how to edit a hot button thats already been created? I'm currently using @Thor setup from the chat room, however it appears the stops are very tight. Is there any way to plug a current script into the scrip creator and edit it?

StopPrice=Price-0.01;DefShare=BP*0.97;Price=Ask-Price+0.01;SShare=150/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=400;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0.1 ACT:SELL STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos TIF:DAY+;

Thank You !!

I’m not that good with scripts is there a way to plug it into the script builder so I know exactly what I’m changing?

That script looks like the $$ risk per trade where you double click the chart where you want your stop with $150 risk.  Your stops are as tight as you make them.  For your question though, I don't know how to plug it back into script builder.

Thanks @Dustin Dunn I like the setup but I get stopped out so fast I can’t even make the adjustment in the chart.

Something isn’t right then. If the current price is $10/share and you double clicked the chart for your stop at $9.50, with $150 risk per trade already programmed into your script, after you click the hot button it should purchase 300 shares and automatically put your stop in. Try it in sim and see what happens.

@Dustin Dunn When I test in sim on the first position I take (example AAPL) It'll take one share, after I exit & get back in it'll take 859 shares? Do you think its just an issue with the script?  Out of curiosity how do you have your hot buttons set up?

Thank you!

@BrandonB I have a lot of hotbuttons and am in the process of switching to DAS from TWS.  I'll go live when my DAS sim subscription expires but here is my script for risking $50 per trade long.

StopPrice=Price-0.01;DefShare=BP*0.80;Price=Ask-Price+0.01;SShare=50/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=400;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0.1 ACT:SELL STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos TIF:DAY+

See the attached photo of my current setup. Top half is long trades and bottom half for short. I trade premarket so have more buttons for premarket stop limit orders.

With the hotkeys that Thor uses, you generally have to double click where you want your stop to be. Check out this video for a quick tutorial on the dynamic hotkeys. It doesn't talk about the free rolls though.

@Bryan Walquist They all seem to work now when I double click on the chart. It does however seem to automatically remove the stop If I partial out?

It will not remove the stop automatically unless you lead the script with CXL ALLSYMB;
