Example, the Gappers list takes up a large portion of the screen these days but it's not useful unless frozen at 9:30, and even then it's only useful for those that missed the premarket. That screen real-estate could be better utilized with some of the creations in this thread.

 

Agree on the GAPPERS in pre-market. Open to suggestions on the idea of the other time slots.....

Previously they had a great PREMARKET screen showing:

1. Up gappers

2 Down gappers

3. Daily Chart

4. 5M chart

5. Single Stock window....with float, short interest etc.

I would add 1M and also scrolling through list (pause for 30 - 60 secs on each) of the top 6 Up/Down gappers

T.I. should be able to do tht if we reached out to them for assistance.  T.I. seems like a capable modern piece of software.

Honestly I think it was taken down bcoz / after difficulty one day.  Would love to have it back and then free up space on after OPEN scanners etc.

If T.I. can't help, it wouldn't be hard to code that functionality as Trade Ideas uses the WinAPI GUI elements which you can automate.

Maybe we ( @PeterD  @KyleK29 ,   @Alastair) can have a zoom call and bounce ideas so we get a fully automated functionality tht once the computer with the scanners  starts up it logins and displays scanners changing the displayed scans automatically based on time-of-day from pre-market to market open or afternoon/close -of-day scans as required.

wht u think ? can we zoom ? peter and Kyle would be key to make this happen. Peter I understand has responsibility for scanners.

@KyleK29  @PeterDPeter is willing to zoom conference call on Thursday after market close to discuss/plan how to attack this potential feature. He will explain his process in the morning to see if it can be automated from start to finish........Open the room  -->  BBT scanners --> close room, or anything in between.

Was trying to get Ryan (Peter wanted him) in on it also but he is off for personal reasons for a couple weeks.

Are u available ? Zoom voice call only if u prefer ?

Peter has experience with hosting zoom calls I believe, so we can jump in on his link.

Yeah, I should be available .. depending the exact time. Thursday's are busy for me activity wise. I'm testing the automation script for TradeIdeas .. so that should be ready to go soon.

And just about anything on Windows can be automated either by native hooks or by brute force (pretending to be a user). So it'd just be a matter of the exact work flow he does.

@KyleK29   @PeterD  The time is right after market close...so we all still at computers.

Objective is to confirm with Peter his process for starting the room and scanners so  as much as possible is automated and makes his process easier, standardized...........no more than 20 mins I estimate.

I will ask him to start / host the zoom call.

I'm really happy that my scanner made it to the scanner page in chat, and so many have found it helpful. 

I made a small change, and thought I'd post it here. With all the WSB excitement, I simply added short float interest, and it is something that I look at. This is a simple column add, nothing more, so you may find that easier to do than using the cloud link.

I also got a PM from a user who has made some tweaks, which is great to hear, the more the merrier. Problem is, I log on to the site using Chrome, and there is a bug that does not allow me to log in to the forums when I use Chrome. So I just today got his message when I logged in with a different browser. 

Really excited to see what he has come up with! I will try to remember to stop using Chrome, but old habits die hard. So if you want to contact me, feel free to smack me in the back of the head if you see me in chat. If I'm there, I'm usually droning on about something, so please reach out! And if I say something in chat that you think I might be off base about, please let me know, because I never rule out the possibility that I could be wrong, and am always willing to listen, in the interest of learning. That's what community is all about!
