  1. I would love to join you guys for snowboard. I'm going to Cypress on Monday.
  2. Hi, I'm still trading in SIM and I'm just wondering how much does a broker like IB charge you for trading margin and shorting a stock? I know for IB you can have 4x leverage on your equity. How much are they charging you for the money you borrow from them? And how much does IB charge you for shorting a stock?
  3. So what's your average R per month? My goal for now is to have a upward equity curve. I'm not too concern about how much I made as long as I'm not losing money.
  4. Breaking even means you have over 50% win rate after all the running costs such as DAS, screener, commission, etc... Day trading is a minus sum game! I think you are on the right path.
  5. Hi, I've been day trading with BBT for about a year now and I'm still in SIM. So far I haven't been able to come up with a consistence result with a very fluctuating equity curve. My plan is to go live if I can have a positive equity curve trading in SIM since trading live with real money is a lot harder mentally real money is on the line. So day trade for a living seems like a distance dream for me at the moment, perhaps I need a little inspiration... except for the BBT moderators, anyone here day trading full-time for a living? If so, would you please share your success story? I would really appreciate it if you would share your tips to make my journey a lot easier.
  6. Hi, I'm using Kyle's hotkey to limit my stop loss for $50, but it requires me to eyeball my entry and it's not ideal when the stock is going quickly in the first few minutes after the market opens. Is there a way I can manually enter a price in DAS montage where I want an order to be executed and set a market stop loss order at the same time? Thank you for your help in advance!
  7. Hi, Do you have a script for a hotkey that you can close all positions that works for both long and short? I have tried to close a short position but pressed the wrong key and ended up doubled my shares instead of closing it. Thank you in advance for all your help. Terry
  8. Thank you IamKarthi ! I am in a similar situation as you- I can only trade the 1st hour because of the time difference as I live in Hong Kong which is 12 hours ahead of NY. I get so frustrated trading ORB. I will try out your set up for sure.
  9. It could have been a ABCD pattern, but it didn't happen instead it kept going up and hit the VWAP. I would have gone long at the VWAP.
  10. I usually wait until a momentum is formed either up or down and enter at around Vwap. I tool a trade similar to yours yesterday and I entered just a little bit above the Vwap, but my exits were poor!
  11. What is your strategy on partial out? Here's one of my trades on SIM and I just partial outed because I wanted to lock in profit without any strategy at all.
