Agreed. Das has the most cumbersome method I've seen on any platform to set a price alert. Below is a copy of an email I sent as a "feature request" to bugs@dastrader and support@dastrader ......remember the "squeeky wheel principle".... /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I think everyone of your subscribers would appreciate a simple 'on chart' method to set a price alert. Something as simple as: (1)being able to right-click on a Horizontal Trendline (2) from a right-click menu item simply set the alert if the price crosses the horizontal line. There would be no need to complicate the procedure by offering a > or < or >= choice since it should be obvious to any user that "crossing the line" from the current price would be the reason for the alert. In this example it would be if the price increases and printed any price above 207.40 ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Using a normal keyboard offers tons of hotkey possibilities. I have over 100 setup, many are not combo-keys like ... all the 'F' keys, all the numberpad, home-delete-insert-end-pageup... and various punctuation like coma, period, semicolon, bracket. Many are combo keys of course but you can label your keyboard for the hotkeys you don't use as often so as to make it a no-brainer to use. ....

Keyboard/Mouse for Day Trading
johng2 replied to Richard Pfeiffer's topic in Day Trading Hardware, Software and Tools
Richard, I doubt using a wireless keyboard or mouse is any reason for worry. If you have experience using that setup and you have a rough idea how long the batteries last then just replace the batteries on a cycle that completely avoids the issue.... So if the batteries last 1yr then replace them on a calendar basis every 6 or 9 months. Besides, if your keyboard were to die then you would still have a mouse to still use on the level II montage as needed....
