  1. Hi, I had the same issue when i started- I just couldn't keep up with carlos .

    So i recorded the  Pre-market show  and when the trading day was over, I would rewatch the show and paused it as he was doing the lines so i could work out where he was putting them and most importantly WHY he was choosing that specific price level in the chart (the pre-market show is available on you tube now so you don't have to record it yourself now😀)

    I then also has a daily chart up of the stock he was adding the lines to and tested myself to see if i could plot the same lines. once you do this for 2 weeks you will be able to add your own support and resistance lines easily.

    Now I build a watch-list the same as Carlos and when norm is doing the announcement I add my own lines to each chart and then double check them against the ones that Carlos points out, it easier to move a line a few cents than try to add new ones .

  2. Hi I'm 1 month into sim but having some issues with my hotkeys and was hoping someone would help a fellow BBT member out.

    I'm currently using kyles hotkeys which work great but when a stock is on SSR.S  I'm having alot of trouble

    I have a $25 risk long hotkey which is

     StopPrice=Price-0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Ask-Price+0.00;SShare=25/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price= Ask+0.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;DefShare=200;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice-0.05 ACT:SELL STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos TIF:DAY+;

    which works as normal when a stock is on short selling restriction once I've double clicked where i want my stop to be on the chart.

    but all the hotkeys below won't work when a stock is on  ssr.s restriction:

    SELL HALF (When I'm long)

    Share=Pos*.5;Price=Bid-.05;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;

    SELL ALL (When i'm long)

    ;Share=Pos;Price=Bid-.05;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;

    also none of my short hotkeys below work either:

    I have a $10 risk short hotkey which is

    StopPrice=Price+0;DefShare=BP*0.925;Price=Price-Bid+0.00;SShare=10/Price;Share=DefShare-SShare;DefShare=DefShare+SShare;SShare=Share;Sshare=DefShare-SShare;Share=0.5*SShare;TogSShare;ROUTE=SMRTL;Price=Bid-0.05;TIF=DAY;SELL=Send;DefShare=200;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET PX:StopPrice+0.05 ACT:BUY STOPPRICE:StopPrice QTY:Pos TIF:DAY+;

    COVER HALF (when i'm short)

    Share=Pos*.5;Price=Ask+.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;

    COVER ALL (When i'm short)

    Share=Pos;Price=Ask+.05;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;

    When i try to use these when a stock is on SSR.S it says short marketable limit order disable due to SSR.S.

    does anyone have a script which will work with kyles hotkeys when a stock is on SSR.S to

    1) cover half  and cover all of my position  when i'm long using kyles hotkeys

    2) short a stock using kyles hotkeys with a defined risk

    3) cover half and cover all of your position once I've used kyles short hotkeys

    I'm currently with CMEG but only in their simulation mode.

    Any feedback would be great.

    Thanks

  3. I use a software called FLASHBACK PRO RECORDER. I use a 42 inch dell monitor and a 27 inch all in one PC. The software  allows me to record both monitors or only one, whichever one i want.

    I use the dell monitor to watch 4 stocks in play and once the recording is over i can zoom in on each specific stock and then save that as a separate file to re-watch, which is what i think you could do if you have more than 2 monitors but i haven't tried it on more than 2, so you'll have to try it out.  You can also slow the recording down to a quarter of the speed or speed it up 4x  and add comment text boxes at specif times to highlight areas of interest. I've been using it for a few months now so just send me a message if you need any advice on it. hope this helps

    Hey Skye,

       I have a hotkey that you can double click the chart, hit a hotkey and it will buy the correct shares and set a stop. I also have a separate hotkey where you can double click your stop and it will put a range order in for 2:1. If you’re interested in either of these let me know. My biggest project now is trying to figure out how to combine the 2 hotkeys into one. I would like to double click my chart at the stop, hit one hotkey and that will enter the position and put a 2:1 range order in. Let me know if any other this would help you out.

        Thanks !

    Hi David, could you share your hotkey script please for a 2:1 range order.

    thanks and  much appreciated

  5. Hi, i have used tradingsim.com in the past, they do a 7 day free trial but i'm not sure if it auto subscribes. The stock that we trade today you will be able to replay tomorrow in tradingsim.com i think.

    I found it very useful when i couldn't trade in the day due to my working hours, so use to replay the stocks in play the next day after work. it does show time and sales, plus you can speed them up.

    give it a try see what you think😀

  6. Hey all the BBT family, first of all i would like to say how great the Wednesday workshop classes are, i'm learning more and more every week and would like  to thank all  moderators for all the work their putting it, its not going to waste.

    Not sure if your doing requests but my motto is if you don't ask then you don't get 😀.

    I would like to suggest some Wednesday workshop classes that I would like to see, which will hopefully benefit all of us in the community:

    At the moment i'm trying to master Brian's double bottom/top reversal strategy, I see this appearing most days and the risk:reward makes it worth it, so i was hoping Brian could take time out of his busy schedule  to do a class on his reversal strategy.        I think If he could share all the valuable experience that he has trading this strategy with us it would be much appreciated, for instance  when this strategy is most likely to succeed/fail and his thought process when he sees this setup appearing .

    At the moment my trading price range  out of the watch-list is between $20 and $100, i struggle to trade any high price stocks as i'm unsure how they trade on a day to day basis and the high price does scare me, so if Norm could do a classes on trading the regular high price stock which he trades daily like: NVDA, FB, APPL and ROKU. If he could share the strategies he uses and the Risk:reward position that he takes i think it would benefit all of us  in the community.

    Keep up all the good work, I've been a member for a year now and hopefully many more years to come.

    thanks ANTHONY_UK
