    10-8-19 Woke at 0740 with 4.5 hours sleep, feel pretty good...... SSS and a coffee...... PAT: Share size in early market....... Hot Buttons...... Notes: on my PB#3 setups take a moment to analyze the trade before entry..... Took a few trades in SIM of SIM in pre 5min and 5min ORBs... took way too much share size, (dont even know what I was thinking) felt completely out of control maybe due to knowing this is not what I would trade in Live and taking stupid risk.... I do need to trade these as if I was in a Live account even when I am in SIM otherwise if I get a setup to start working I fear I will continue to trade too much.... I think I will just stop trading the first 5min again as I did in the past and only trade A or better setups from now on..... Ill post the stupid P&L here just so I will remember this tomorrow.... These were all in the first 15min.... -1153.66 this would be -23+ Rs LOL first and last time for this..... I had to leave for a bit dealing with another business and unreasonable customers....... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will make this my break of SIM and Live account for my information.... but as I have been doing I will still use my P&L for all trades since I do not have a way to separate them yet....... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BRX Finally found a trade today that makes sense to me.... got this from the Turbo Breakup scanner..... cross referenced it to News..... Brixmor Property Group's Commitment To ESG Excellence Recognized By Multiple Organizations..... This along with a new 52 week Hi I felt this is a stock in play.... RVOL is also 2.36 PB#3 (A+ setup) could have got a better entry a couple minutes earlier but one can never tell and I feel like this was a safe entry waiting on confirmation.... This had all the right ingreidents, 2min trending the 9ema, no new 5 - 15 - or 30min low, an ABCD on the 2min.... My first entry was a full size for my stop and my RR was 2.5/1..... the addition about 15min later was only a few shares as my Buying power was all used up..... I took a few 25% partials and a couple 10%.... my add on was only 25 (which is what the last partial was) shares as it seems every time I do add on to a trend it does a reversal soon after..... The time is 1314 and am holding onto the 253 shares I have left. I did hold onto it on the bounce of the 20ema as the new 5min lows never breached the 9ema.... I will be looking at the 5min chart for the 9ema and the 15 and 30min for new lows from this point on.... at 1318. 1326, 1330 I took 10% each time.... I am also noticing that the 5min Volume has been more on the Bull Candles...... I have now switched my charts to only have 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 and Day Charts and took off the 2min to keep myself from hitting the Sell Position Button too early.... 1345 and 1350 candles were tough to hold onto, when I look back on the 2min I probably would have exited but I believe by taking the 2min off my charts it will make me a better trader.... My Reason2Exit was the break of the 9ema on the 5min and down to the 20ema, along with the Powell speach.... Cons: Was just stupid in SIM of SIM..... Pros: I did wait till I found an A+ setup before taking a trade Favorite Trade: BRX Notes: Gotta Go no time before work... R = 50.00: Blow up in Sim / +126.38 on my only true setup

    07Oct19. Green Day. +3.5r. Today was a better trading day for me. Not because of the daily profit, but because of how I managed the trades. I also listened to a calming music 10min before the open till 30min after the open. I think it helped me a bit, I am planning to do this for few more days and see if and how it helps in the long run. Watchlist: $NVDA, $BABA, $QGEN, $AMBA. $NVDA and $AMBA were in my main screens. Trade1: $NVDA. I was interested in $NVDA yesterday, after it formed the Shooting star daily. Today SPY and $NVDA both gapped down. $NVDA sold into the open, I waited for the 2nd min candle pullback and went short. $NVDA had poor spread, so my entry wasn't ideal. I put 3:1 range order. I wanted to take a small partial at 2.5r, but by mistake added to my short. Got out of the addnl position immediately. Final partial at daily level of 177.29 (20MA daily). Entry was 179.85 with a stop of 75c. Actually I wanted to move my 3r partial even further to 4r, but before I did that, price dumped and filled me. This is one of my Best trades, because I planned this from yesterday, took it at the open today when the setup appeared and managed the trade well. Trade 2: $QGEN. QGEN gapped down due to bad earnings news and CEO leaving. It was down 20% on daily. At the open, stock was strong due to profit taking may be. I entered after the price broke thru the support levels and the new 5min candle broke the previous candle body (hive candle), Stop was above the wick. Got out at 2r and 3r. Final partial got out after it was clear double bottom on the 5min. Good: Today my objective was to let my winning trade go, I did that. Usually my entries and Stops are good. I was tempted to add to my $NVDA position at the 2nd VWAP pullback, but I resisted it. Same in $QGEN too, after the doji hammer on 1min at 9.40AM, wanted to add, but didn't. May be for another day. Improvement: on $NVDA, I had the key level as 181. I was going to short it below this level, just before open stock dumped below this level, At the open I could have shorted it earlier, close to this level. That would have given me 1) best RR 2)more no of shares.

    Tuesday 10/08/2019 I had a well-being score of 6.5/10 this morning. Took 2 live trades this morning was with AAPL and BABA. I like my trading today. I really like the daily charts on both AAPL and BABA. Either could break high (AAPL) or low (BABA) or bounce from the resistance/support. Thus I had no bias in the direction of either stock. The volume arrived quickly on AAPL and about 20 seconds after the open a nice hammer was formed. I went long with PDC as a target and a reasonably large stop at the bottom of the candles wick. This was a R/R~3 which tends to be too high for an opening trade. I sent a 50% sell order at 1.5R and waited. The price went to 0.8R and stalled and I noticed SPY was dropping hard. I was nervous about being S/O so I sold 25% shares at 0.8R. I only had to wait 15 more seconds and the price reached my 1.5R limit order. Ten the price retraced fast. I was nervous about the price dropping faster when it broke the 226.08 daily level so I sold the rest of the shares before B/E. And as usual the price reversed to the penny of my stop and went for a big run without me. But, I still liked the trade and happy with my +1R. Much better partialing than I usually do. A few seconds after I entered the AAPL trade, BABA setup as well with a hammer, good volume and semi strong levels to help pull the price through. I went long with the 165.51 daily level as my target and VWAP as my stop. I immediately set my 1.5R limit order and the price jumped up and touched it without filling it. Then reversed quickly. By a rule I need to stop out at B/E which I did and was quite proud of myself for doing it . Yes the price reversed a few cents after and reached my 1.5R target but I am still glad I followed my plan. I had to take my eye off the BABA trade since I was going to stop out of AAPL and I thought the BABA trade was over. But since I had to move my attention quickly over I did not get a chance to cancel the BABA order. The price jumped and triggered the order, which is now a short. After my AAPL trade I noticed I still had an active BABA trade. I first thought I didn’t sell all the shares and hit the sell all button. But trade was still active. The same moment I hit sell all again I realized I am short and doubling my shares. I quickly covered. Now for the last 18 months (live and SIM) I have NEVER had a hot key mistake go in my favor. So it was a surprise I saw a +0.7R profit from the mistake. Now this is significant. I spent my life a very unlucky person. I am also a very negative person. Until recently I didn’t know they were related. Recently, I have tried to be more positive and I have noticed that once in awhile now luck is on my side. Though very cool, it is very disorienting. So I assume this hotkey mistake in my favor is a continuation of this. Again. Very cool. One note. PG&E are planning proactive power outages in my area to reduce chance of fire. I may not have power for 2 to 3 days. So if you don’t see any journal entry from me the rest of the week, you know what happen. Score cards (live trades). Does not include hotkey mistake trade. AAPL BABA 92% 93% What I did good today: The new partial profit plan is working out well What I am grateful from today? Made profit on a hotkey mistake. What do I need to improve on: Need to create a B/E stop hot key this week.

    8/10/19 good day today. started with a winning trade but i broke my rules quite badly and it shook me up so i went away, came back clear headed ish and carried on. 3 trades: 2 winners (ORB, pendant) 1 loser (trend trade) Trade 1: kurt called out the big buyer on AMBA so i went to set a limit order for an entry near VWAP but messed up and accidentally got in early with a too big share size. i decided to stay in anyway until my original stop even though i went past my 1 R risk. so i shouldve stopped out but because i had confidence in the setup i stayed in until i got my 2Rs. but i was still annoyed with myself. Trade 2: DPZ had an amazing day and i wanted a piece :p waited for a rejection of the 9 EMA on the 5 which worked earlier in the day. my stop was 2 points though so was asking for quite a large move. anyway it started reversing so i got out. Trade 3: what a trade. saw a perfect pendant form over a long time, holding the support trend line perfectly. I got in on the break with high volume and it just exploded. partialled quickly for good profit. i got added when i saw the support for an ABCD but got completely out when it lost that. still a good 3R+ trade in minutes.

    07Oct19. Flat day. I made a Hotkey mistake on $ROKU, so instead of +4r I closed the day just below flat. Watchlist: $PFNX, $UBER, $NVDA, $TSM and $ROKU (just before the open). Trade1: $ROKU. I added $ROKU just before the open. But choose to trade this, due to the strong catalyst (Walmart news) and also because I have traded $ROKU few times before. I didn't have time to include $ROKU in the premarket list above (I just added before journaling). I was Long Biased on $ROKU, it was strong in the premarket, but selling off just before the open. I was waiting for the pullback. Stock was consolidating near the MA levels and I waited. Once it moved above VWAP with volume, I took long (wide stop, so very few shares). I realized the doji on the 2min could be giving me the PBBE/3C setup so added to my position and moved my stop. Was happy at this stage. Now I used the hotkey to set my range order to 3:1 RR and pressed Enter. But my Montage was not reset, so it closed the position immediately. I was frustrated. Setup was still there (as can be seen from the 5min chart), I reentered the trade, now I had less shares due to wider STOP. Partialed after stock moved 1.5$ and final part got stopped out. Trade 2 :$BABA. Appears there was a news so, almost all the stocks moved up with SPY, around noon $BABA was losing. I took short below VWAP, supported by SPY. partial till 200MA on 15min. I have been trying to trade off longer timeframe in the afternoon, this is one of the trades (although helped by SPY immensely) Trade3: $TSLA. After 2PM SPY dumped, almost all the stocks dumped with it, except for $TSLA. It was still consolidating near HOD. Once the new 30min candle broke the previous candle body I took Long (60min was still bullish). Target was break of HOD. Move would have been much more, if SPY was strong. Other stocks from watchlist: $TSM was stuck in range thru out the day (as justified by the ATR). $UBER was weak, but creating an ascending triangle, will be interesting to see tomorrow. Like I noted, $PFNX already made the move premarket and was dead for most of the day, until 14.30 when it moved. $NVDA was bullish at the open ended up creating a shooting star on the daily at the close. missed $SRPT and $SPWR. Good: Didn't overtrade. Took the mid afternoon trade based on higher timeframe as planned during last week. Despite being frustrated on $ROKU hotkey mistake, still reentered only after confirming the setup and also kept my sharesize within my risk. This is an improvement. Improvement: I really need to reset my Montage everytime, after setting a Range order. If someone knows how to reset Montage using Hotkey, please let me know.

    I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems the forum font now is either lighter in color or using a thinner font, making it more difficult to read. I know there was a recent website maintenance over the weekend, not sure if this is related? Anyhow is there a way to change the font displayed in the forum by the member? Thank you.

    Hello Everybody Today was not such a good day. But again, I shall learn from my mistakes ROKU Trade 1 Bought 200 shares at 108.65. Stop loss, just below the VWAP. I know with 200 shares, I got in too late as I now risked more than 2%. Again, I need to focus on my entry for better risk management. Is there a way I can buy/short at a certain amount and not just by hitting the hot key? I would have loved to get in at 108.30 max in this trade. Scaled out way too early. Will now focus on scaling out around 2R. Trade 2 Got in at 109.47. Was thinking that VWAP was going to be a resistance. Also, saw the hammer doji and took that as a sign for long. Please let me know if I am reading these signs all wrong. Stop loss below the VWAP. Close to around 108.90. Was too slow and got all out at 108.53. Almost a whole dollar!! I am debating on using hard stops but I'm worried that during a pullback, I may be stopped out prematurely. What does everyone suggest? Trade 3 Please correct if i am wrong, but I thought I saw a double bottom. And I thought I saw a "falling devil" (I have heard Andrew say it a couple times). Therefore decided to go long with a stop loss below that level at around 106.70. Now, after reviewing, my stop loss should have been much closer. I thought I was doing well as it was using the 9 EMA as a resistance. Again, I was too slow to react and was all out, way too late at 106.51. I also traded AAPL but that also ate me up Trade 1 I saw higher highs and higher lows and decided to go long at 226.67 with a stop loss right below VWAP around 226.30 and target of previous day close. Was getting ready to go out on AAPL as it was starting to get close to my stop loss but I pressed cover instead of sell. Panicked and ended up selling all my 400 shares immediately. But then again, I would've have been stopped out regardless. Trade 2 Again, saw higher highs and highers lows and thought VWAp to be a resistance. Went long at 226.59 with stop loss at 226.4. Covered some. Was trying to cover at 227 but at that time DAS was acting up. Now, I know I asked this before, but is there a way to scale out at a certain amount, in this case 227? This time I was quicker and stopped out at 226.36. As always, I need to work on my risk management. Again, any feedback and discussion is most welcome! Thank you!

    Van Tharp Institute Peak Performance Course for Traders Vol 3: How to Control Losing Attitudes Chapter 3 Finally finished this monster chapter. Huge exercises. The course said it will take up to several weeks to finish the chapter. It left me a little unsatisfied because the whole chapter is really taking tests and created huge lists, but the analysis will come later. So I am not sure why I did all this work yet. The last part of this chapter that needed to be completed was to combine and prioritize the two previous value lists into a 200 long list. Then there were two tests, which will be evaluated later, so I won’t mention them yet. Finally another list of what trading means to you which will also be analyzed later. So here is the combined value list. The essential to have and what you must avoid in one list. It is interesting the list gets very “block” like the bottom half. As a whole category of values will be less important than another. Value How do you know when you have…? How do you know when you DON'T have…?     Van Tharp Institute Peak Performance Course for Traders Vol 3: How to Control Losing Attitudes Chapter 3 A monster chapter. Huge exercises. I have been working on this chapter for almost a month and still not finished. I did just complete another exercise so I will post it now. The idea of this you list 10 things that you try to avoid in your life. Then you order them in priority. Then for each item on your list you list 10 things explaining what you value about that essential need. So you end up with 100 words/phrases. Then you prioritize each under each category to have a prioritized list of a 100 values. Then for each of the 100 values you answer, “when do you know you have it and when do you know you don’t.” So you end up with 300 phrases. This took quite a bit of time. Value to be avoided How do you know when you have…? How do you know when you DON'T have…?     Van Tharp Institute Peak Performance Course for Traders While I am trying to finish the monster chapter 3 in this course (looks like this chapter may take me a month) I will give an update on my goals. In a previous chapter the course asks you to sent up some short term goals with an ECD. Here are the goals and progress. 1) By end of September get a consistent 6.5 hours a sleep a night (with a min of 3.5 hours of deep sleep). Last week I obtained 6.35 hours average with 3.2 hrs of deep sleep. 2) By October 15 achieve a VO2 Max of 48. My VO2 Max was 44 at the time I set the goal and for the last week I hit a VO2 Max of 46. 3) Improve trading score card monthly average, every month to the end 2019. So far so good, but it has been a close one. 4) Spend 20 full days with family by EOY. So far I have spent 3 since the time this goal was set. But that is actually a lot for me and I am on route to accomplish the goal. 5) Finish the Van Tharp Course by before Thanksgiving holidays. I thought this was attainable until I hit one chapter that will take me a month. Now I am not so sure.
