Ok guys, just spoke with Andrew and the weekend of the 1st isn't going to work. We will have to look into mid-September like the 15th, 22nd or 29th. Hopefully we can nail down a date that works for everybody.

Sorry bud I just saw this notification today. Hope this reply is not too late. I use two fast key pad. I have a Razor one for buy and sell. it's programmed as +100 + 200 +500 +1000 +2000 shares, and -1/10 position, - 1/5 position , -1/3 , -1/2 and sell all. Then the opposites side of the trades. I use Genovation Control for setting stop loss -5c , -10c, -15c, -20c, all the way up to -50c. and the opposite side of the trades. This way I can get in a position and set a hard stop loss right the way. It's very useful when you manage multiple stocks.

This is good news! Where did you find this info? So you COULD file the 475 election now for tax year 2018 (for which you’ll prepare taxes early 2019)? Normally you would have done so by 4/15 of this year I wonder how you know if the IRS accepts your request. Do you just make the election by way of the letter to the IRS and call it a day?

So, I've learned this is not so. You can, in good faith, elect 475 MTM accounting later in the year if you can show that you didn't know better. It is essentially a extension that you file with the 475 request that says you're doing it as soon as possible and not because it helps you retroactively.

Hey guys, still trying to determine the best weekend for this now that we are pretty far into August. Andrew isn't available the last weekend, so we may have to look at the first weekend of September. Are there any takers for the weekend of 9/1-9/2 ? If not, we can look at other weekends in September.
