Hi guys. Today I was really patient with trades, last week I found that I make, and lose, mostly lose a lot of money in the first 10 mins, especially when taking ORBs because they look like ORBs, today I promised myself not to enter anytrade I'm not sure about

I traded DAL twice, first time was at 10:39, I've  been practicing those entries every now and then, small moves but quiet easy and profitable, looking at DAL it was trending up for 20 minutes above the 9 ema on the 1 minute chart, what I did was to wait for a pull back, you can see 2 red candles, I could have entered on the red candle at 10:38 but I didn't, I just wanted to make sure it won't go down, when it closed above it, it was the confirmation to go long, I went long with a risk of 8 cents, my first cover was 12 cents above my entry point to make it worth it, second cover 22 cents, which made my risk to reward 2:1, I left 50 shares for 30 cents of profit but eventually I saw it dropping fast which didn't look like a pullback so I just went out

dal1.thumb.png.be13a1a4a8c57adebfe28f790406d481.png

My second trade on DAL was pretty similar to the first one, it  was downtrending at first, on 5 min chart, then it made a doji, and finally reversed, I was waiting for it to break the VWAP and the moving average above it on 1 min chart, it did break the VWAP but then dropped below it, I put my hand away from the trigger and kept watching it, eventually it came back above the VWAP, it refused to go down, it also refused to break the moving average, I finally decided to go long since it didn't break the VWAP again, my stop loss was right below the VWAP, 8 cents risk, I was patiend with the trade, I covered first at 20 cents profit, second 30, and that was all, I saw that red candle and it scared me so I got all out, I actually wanted to get out at 50.75, but it dropped a bit and I chickened out, it did actually hit 50.77 before it eventually drop all down

dal2.thumb.png.e709523b97ccefac445de5a08b96a515.png

I also took a trade on GLMD, I practice something new with reversals and wanted to share it with you guys hopefully it can be a good discussion, if you've examples I'll be happy to watch them as well, so here GLMD was down trending for around 20 mins, I never take reversals unless the stock breaks the 20 ema on 1 min chart, and I see a some sort of confirmation, the confirmation here was that 1 min hammer candle at 9:50, I took the reversal right after the 9:54 candle closed above the 20, and covered all at VWAP, my stop loss was below the 20, maybe 10 cents of risk, reward 30 cents 3:1, I covered all at VWAP because it was a good run, good risk to reward, I didn't think of a reason to scale out, which was actually a good dicision

glmd.png.56f3d1e231f439b228141eee707c4084.png

I want to show you some of the other examples I noticed for reversals same as GLMD, I didn't take the trades because I decided to imaginary trade after exceeding my daily goal, I've been taking this kind of reversals pretty often last time) I had pretty good trades and didn't want to ruin them

You can see TWTR was selling off for like 35 minutes, it was holding the 9 and 20 ema on 1 min chart, at 10:16 1 min candle closed above the 20, second candle was a good entry with a stop loss below the 20 edma and profit targets the 50 sma, vwap, and the break of it

*You can see My second trade for the day as well in this chart, I took TWTR long at 9:50, yes it was selling off, but there was a reason why I took it long, at first it was making lower lows and lower highs, then 9:49 candle made higher low and higher high, 9:50 candle was struggling so much, it was going down and up, + I had a lvl which was I think 3 days ago low, I thought it might pull back before it continues to drop, so I took it long, my first target was 20 cents profit since I had no technical lvl above me but the 9 ema which was so far, then +10 cents above the 9, and the rest once it broke the again, I knew the trend didn't end especially when it didn't even touch the 20, so I got all out before the break even

strategy1.thumb.jpg.c5c9a2bce1d12357b077c09f09e09b4d.jpg

Here you can see the stock uptrending for like 20 minutes above the 20, then moving averages got close to each other, 10:03 candle closed between the 9 and 20 which was good enough, 10:04 candle closed below it which was a good entry to go down with profit targets VWAP and the break of it

2064876355_strategy2.thumb.jpg.783e206ac046e0bc95177ecc469886d1.jpg

Here you can see IZEA was downtreding since 10:34, at 11:05 it broke that 20 which was a good chance to go for a reversal, with a target of 50 sma then VWAP,  I don't like this kind of breaking the 20ema, because there's a resistance above it, and I'd take it only if that resistance was far enough as in1, stop loss below the 20, reward the 50 + vwap, even the run to the 50 is still good reward, second break at 11:20  was same as 11:05, risk to reward was still worth it, but the bes is the third break, once it broke the 50 it just ran to the VWAP and above it

1049014102_strategy3.thumb.jpg.3cf240fccd4a487253e1270c2ebc879b.jpg

Here CNTF was also down trending, it broke the 20 at 11:32, and some might take it long here, I wouldn't though,  because of the wicks at 11:33, it just could go anywhere, the best entry was at 12:06, it closed above the 9/20/50, next candle was a good entry with a stop loss below that bunch of moving averages

291711827_strategy4.thumb.jpg.eb2d21dfee92953d1f935b9e63568bf9.jpg

LB here as well was down trending, you can see it finally broke the 20 at 10:07, at 10:08 I decided to take a reversal above the 20 with a stop loss below the 9, and profit target the VWAP, you can see it was slowly going down aand down, I just got out with 5 cents or 8 cents loss I don't really remember, I wanted to come back again once it breaks the 20 but I was busy in chat, you can see a good entry at 10:17, till the 50 and above it, risking 7 cents and profiting  2x)

1221711626_strategy5.thumb.jpg.7a009ecfa71da0d29b640097ce8bc94b.jpg

Ok let's come back to my trades

NTRA made a giant move up at the open! 2 dollars up@@ it was exiting)), then it started to selling off, it broke the vwap, 9/20 ema, then I saw that 1 minute candle which closed above the VWAP, I took it long a few seconds before it's closure to make the risk small, it was 10 cents below my entry point, my first cover was 20 cents above my entry, second cover 30 cents above it, and finally I got stopped out at 9, I saw that red candle, it didn't break the 9, but the one after it was so weak that I just decided to go out before the break even, which was a smart decision

ntra.thumb.png.efaf595c3081cb5c5a85ec88c40471f1.png

I think that's all, good trades on TWTR, NTRA, GLMD, DAL, small loss on LB,

Trade 1: Short selling AMAT 10 cents below 20ma on bear flag signal to 200ma with bad entry. AMAT price never cracked the low of the 09:32 green candle. The better price was at 09:36 upon cracking the low of the 09:34 red candle. I stopped out at VWAP with a small lost.  I honored my stop, but FOMO and anticipation without waiting for confirmation caused this early lost. I entered this trade with fantastic risk/reward ratio of 2 to 1. A 5 minutes ORB down would have positioned this trade with a slightly better risk/reward ratio of 3 to 1 from VWAP to 200ma.

Trade 2: Short selling AMAT on ABCD (originally bear flag) signal on correction at 5 cents below 20ma. I took this short before the price cracked the low of the 09:33 doji candle. The correction at the 20ma, low relative volume at 09:34, and doji candle after the green candle indicated a reversal on resistance towards the down side. Therefore, the bear flag signal becomes Irrelevant, and entering the ABCD signal near its peak on the pull back is preferable. After observation of the 5 minutes chart, I short sell more shares in anticipation of the 5 minutes ORB down.

job_91 AMAT--1 Minute.pdf

Trade 3: Short selling IQ 5 cents below 200ma on 5 minutes reversal for a quick scalp.

Trade 4: Short selling IQ again 5 cents below 200ma on ABCD signal, and relative low volume at 09:40 for another quick scalp. Although this trade was profitable, the execution of it was terrible. The correction at the 200 ma, ABCD signal near the moving average, and the previous 5 minute reversal signal should have not constituted into the early cover towards the down side. PTSD due to past trade loses at the open is probably to blame.

Trade 5: Buying IQ long near 20 ma on 5 minutes reversal to VWAP. I scaled out of this trade near VWAP resulting into a quick scape trade.

Trade 6: Buying IQ long near 200ma and VWAP on ABCD signal with target of 10 cents above the high of 09:54 candle (or 'B') to scalp. The first attempt failed resulting into a break even trade. The second attempt succeeded with a 14 cents marginal gain towards the up side.

Trade 7: (Overtrading) Buying IQ long near 20 ma to new high, but I noticed a reversal on the 5 minutes chart towards VWAP which suggested a false VWAP breakout. With the anticipation of a drop to the down side, I started reducing my position to exit the trade. After exiting the trade below the 20ma. I reversed by short selling on VWAP false breakout signal and Level II correction at 37.36 micro price level by short selling from VWAP to PCD. I exited the trade early after breaking even with little profit.

job_92 IQ--1 Minute.pdf

Trade 8: Short selling TWTR on 5 minutes ORB down. I broke my trading rule of not buying or short selling prices not near moving average. As a result, I exited the trade early with a small profit.

job_93 TWTR--1 Minute.pdf

Trade 9: (Overtrading) Short selling TWTR 10 cents below 20ma with 10 cents profit target. Level II suggested very heavy support at the whole dollar of 43.00. Therefore, I exited the trade early for 7 cents profit.

Trade 10: (Overtrading) Buying TWTR long about 10 cents above 20ma with 10 cents profit target on trending moving average. I noticed a micro level at 43.23 on Level II which resulted into reducing my position size. After selling more at the 10 cents profit target, and exited the trade at the micro level of 43.23  that was identified on Level II previously.

Trade 11: (Overtrading) Short Selling TWTR about 10 cents below the 20ma with 10 cents profit target. I exited the trade early because the volume wasn't there for another continuation to the down-side. Also, the Level II suggested a support near price 43.10 which indicated a possible bottom.

My RECAPs of bad trades turned into good exiting trades.

Trade 1: I short sold CMCSA on ORB down slightly under the 20ma as an added confirmation,.Then I added more shares to the short with a late entry on the bear flag confirmation. I covered partially after Level II retest price near 34.85. I exited the trade near my entry point to breakeven.

Trade 2: I long CMCSA about 10 cents above the 20ma on the bull flag signal. After two candles from my initial entry, the price dropped 9 cents. I held the position because the 3rd 5 minutes candle closed with a higher low. I added more to the long above the 20ma with the anticipation of a VWAP reversal. I held my position on the second candle drop because the 5 min candle never broke the low of the third candle. I exited early to breakeven because the price action didn't show a trend.

Trade 3: I went long on CMCSA after the 09:58, because the 1 min candle closed above the 20ma. I recognized my FOMO, and I exited the trade early.

Trade 3: I long MU below 20 ma with absolutely no catalyst. I recognized this mistake, and  I started planning an exit strategy to average down above the PDC. I hesitated to sell on the 09:34 1 min candle. The price dropped and created a 5 mins reversal pattern below VWAP. I closed my current position at a lost, and went short with the anticipation of an ORB down. I exited early, but I should have held it because the closing 1 min candles were making new lower lows.

Trade 4: I long IQ about 10 cents above 20ma and added more above VWAP. After the price started to decline, I waited for the ABCD price action to appear to use as an exit. I averaged down near the 20ma by adding more and waited before exiting at VWAP to breakeven

My 8/6/2018 trading day recap upon request.

Trade 1: I short sold AMD with a nearly perfect entry underneath the 20 exponential moving averages (ema) after identifying the micro ABCD, and two minutes opening range breakout price patterns. I watched AMD Level II price action as the BIDs started dropping. I took profit at the ASK price level of 18.63 and 18.64 with a nearly perfect partial cover and exit after the rapid buyout at price 18.62 to 18.63 on the time of sales (Time/Sale) feed.

Trade 3: I bought AMD at 18.77 on the 20 ema, and immediate sold 0.10 points below the 20 ema after realizing I was trading in the wrong direction.

1552512123_ScreenShot2018-08-06at11_21_44AM.thumb.png.d14d69fc9ec13492286cff386cb15dfe.png

Trade 2: I short sold at 51.85 after planning my stop at 0.5 points above my entry price of 51.85 for a risky opening range breakout.

Note 1: Stocks in play price swing wildly during the first five minutes. It's risky because of two criteria. First, the Last price is about 3 points away from the 20 ema. Lastly, my maximum stop loss of 0.5 points included the entire first one-minute candle, and a 0.1 points of price buffer above it.

Note 2: I include a 0.1 price buffer because the volume at the open can skew and amplify the price action. What may look like a reversal price formation, may actually be an overly exaggerated pull-back on the ABCD price pattern.

After the next candle closed above the 20 ema, my risk increased more. Therefore, I started planning my exit. After the 09:35 candle broke through the level II support price level near the 20 ema, I short sold more shares to average up to recover some losses at 51.95 and 51.98.

Note 3: I believe short selling more shares underneath the 20 ema and averaging up actually decreased my risk. In hindsight, I basically moved my position 0.15 points underneath the 20 ema which greatly increased my chances of earning gains, and I can maintain my stop of 0.1 points above the 20 ema (but near my max stop lost per trade). A alternative to this trade would be to immediate stop out at VWAP with a small loss and enter again once the price action is more favorable.

Trade 4: (The Revenge) I short sold MU for another risky opening range breakout. At least the 20 ema is closer and my stop loss is now 0.45 points which is slightly better than my maximum stop.  Just like my first trade on MU, the price pulled-back.. However, this second pullback was not as explosive as the first. However, once again I started planning my exit. After the price didn't stay above VWAP near the closing of the 09:37 candle, I short sold additional AMD shares to plan an exit after the 52 price level resistance failed it's retest. The next candle started crashing, immediately I turned my attention to the Level II to wait for the 51.85 price level retest. I was briefly distracted by SEAS price action on another chart to plan for a possible short from 20 ema to 200ma. So, I didn't witness the breakage of the 51.85 price level to verify it was a real support level. After reviewing my screen recordings, It appears that the actually support levels may have been 51.87. I really don't know,

1159582252_ScreenShot2018-08-06at11_20_53AM.thumb.png.72a3e934f1699c1c683e6ebc2213adb4.png

Trade 5: I tried short selling SEAS 0.10 points underneath the 20 ema but the price crashed to 25 immediately after the support broke at 25.33. At a entry price of 25.02 and a 20 ema of 25.43 with a 0.10 price buffer above it increased my stop to 0.51 points which slightly exceeded my max stop loss of 0.5. I started reducing my share size to reduce my risk.

One again. In hindsight, I overly exaggerated my buy back on SEAS . After SEAS failed to break the 20 ema, I added back to my position and moved my stop to 0.10 above 20ma, which was still near my maximum stop loss of 0.5. I held my position on the pull-back to the 20 ema in preparation of averaging up and move my stop to reduce risk. After the 09:47 candle closed, the next candle started crashing. I averaged up maintaining my same 0.5 max stop loss but I had to tighten my stop to 20 ema without the extra 0.10 price buffer. The price started crashing on the next candle. I covered SEAS on the way down.

603093350_ScreenShot2018-08-06at11_22_57AM.thumb.png.b034085a0db07342a4b31c517e8d8032.png

Trade 6: (over trading) I bought MU at 51.85 on a bull flag price pattern, and I sold some at 51.97 and the rest at break even price of 51.86.

Trade 7: (over trading) I bought MU again at 51.93 on a ABCD price pattern, and I sold at 51.95

Trade 8: (over trading) I went long on MU, and sold on the drop for a very small loss.

1174849132_ScreenShot2018-08-06at11_22_31AM.thumb.png.a0c6c530adb61e3679303b58b3229d37.png

Trade 9: (Loss management) I bought MU long at 52.14 with absolutely no catalyst except for knowing a strong support level at 52. At 10:15, MU retested 52 price level but it didn't crack. Therefore, I averaged up on my position getting ready for an exit. MU temporarily returned to my breakeven price with a little gain, but I was too stubborning to exit the trade after already being green. On the 10:19 candle, the price started to crashed. I exited my position at 51.98 to start managing losses. I reversed my position to a short with an entry of 0.05 points below 20 ema. I cover some at 51.84. Then I shorted more after the 51.85 price level broke. I covered again at 51.77, and the rest at 51.72. I tried shorting again at 51.68 after the 51.70 price broke but it didn't hold so I exited at 51.74.

Today I found the set up I have been waiting weeks for. I explain what I noticed on the daily chart during my pre market analysis that made me extremely interested in this stock. I discuss my entry, exits, profit targets, my mistakes, how I could have traded them differently. I discuss my take on psychology in the market and how I used that to my advantage in this trade. Its 25 minutes long, and I'm new to video recaps, but I believe and hope new traders can learn from my perspective in this trade. Please leave your feed back for me (good, bad and ugly) both here and/or on my youtube page dedicated to recaps at https://www.youtube.com/user/310EMT I would greatly appreciate it. Grab some popcorn and enjoy!

@Joshua L  You might find a lot of these setups in clinical stage biotechs (bad FDA news, delays, dilution, etc.). I swing trade many bios and see those setups all the time.

Nice Trade!  You waited until the Price past all the strong Ma's on the 1, 5 and 15 minute chart, then caught an entry right on the Consolidation.  That is a huge trade.  Here is a video that really showed me how powerful Ma's are and the  amazing potential we have when the price passes all of them.

Can anyone know if I can use OBS to record on multiple screen? I had DAS windows on three screens and was wondering how OBS can record all three screens. Is that even possible?

Hey good day fellow BBT traders.

I originally intended to post my Simulator Day Trades here on this forum each trading day.  However I decided to recap an entire month of trading and share my results.

I started recording my morning simulator day trades on June 28th this year.  Since then I have traded every available trading day. (so a total of 24 trading days as of today Aug 1st)

I am happy to say that out of those 24 trading days I have been Green for 21 days and red 3 of those days. Giving me about 85% daily accuracy.

I have been involved in the world of charts & investments for about 2 years now doing mild TSX swing trades;  I started to heavily focus on and learn ‘Day Trading' techniques (NYSE) in October 2018… and I joined BBT community April this year. (loving it!)

I have a YouTube channel showcasing my morning day trades recaps.  (Bear with me as my recaps get a little better each day in terms of clarity and describing my actions/methods.

Enjoy the recaps.  These recaps were done with BBT in mind!

Massive shout out to to BBT Community, Andrew and the rest of the crew.

Sharing my sim trades today and some of my trading story so far.  Traded $AMD, $MU, then made a 3:1 trade on $TSLA.  (In the video I say $TSLA was 2:1 but it was a 3:1.)  Enjoy!
