My Trading Stats (Live)

So I did take a few trades later and ended the day up $259.00 - I am now down $100 this week with commissions.

I am having an issue with Mid Floats, I do not do so well on them as I do on Low Floats. I do need to learn to trade Mid-floats (apparently easier) for several reasons:

  1. If you have a mid to larger size accounts, you need to have all your money working for you. While low floats are good, there is only a limited amount you can work with
  2. Mid Floats are more stable and less riskier
  3. There are times in the summer when Low Floats just don't work...

I took some crappy trades today, chased, went against trend and did the Chop Chop Mambo (Where I spin in and out of long and short in a stock in a very limited time)

Tomorrow I intend to take few trades in Mid Floats, but meaningful ones, where I think of good R;R and follow a strategy. Perfect day for me is 2 - 3 good trades (Not necessarily winners) but well executed.

The good thing this week for me is that my overall Risk Management Plan is working. Yesterday I stopped out automatically at $250 loss, and today I did walk away with a decent target achieved.

My target is 100 - 200 with a max risk of 250 a day.

I took half share sizes today, which shielded me from hitting max loss. I will continue this plan for the remainder of the week...

Things seem to be coming together.

If you feel my postings are helping others, please let me know and like my post or comment. I know writing and going back to read the tremendously helps me and my mentor...

Have a good evening!!!

Nassar great recaps and you seem very focused at what the problems are and the solutions. I find very helpful.

As far as AMD is concerned,I’m also finding really difficult to trade,I keep on getting stoped out on it. I’m considering to stop trading it.

I stopped trading AMD a while ago. With the consistently high volume of this stock, and the somewhat erratic behavior, it would seem to be manipulated heavily by algos/HFT. However, it may be that only beginners should stay away, since Andrew seems to have great success trading this stock...

Dabbling in Options, I did well this week..., Posting today's results my maximum exposure to capital was < $3000 today.... Not risking more than $500 for the day.

Low stress, easier pace for me... I will keep you all posted. 11 trades, imagine the commissions on Stock with CME on that vs here..... 38 executions... plus ECN

Thanks for sharing @nassarsyed

I've eard that options maybe less risky comparing to equities when well known. Do you think it's true? How to learn about options trading please?

It all depends on knowing what you are doing. They can be a 2 edged sword.

Inherently, they depend on an underlying stock or other instrument. You need to be a good trader at basic. Learn that. Options come after that.

they can be used to lower risk, or hedge investments besides being pure speculative derivatives as well.

One and done today..., NFLX Call near Open. $77 a contract, picked up 2 so total investment (and max Risk) was $154. These started ripping with NFLX, I sold half (1 contract) for $85, and the balance for $107 for a total profit of $192.00

Net of commissions and fees is $189.00. Done for the week. Good week.

Here are the charts and screen shots:

Yes, Like I mentioned earlier, You cannot be an Options trader without being a good Stock Trader. It just expands the "strategies" and management possibilities but the entries are the same.
