GREEN day, walked away with $597.50 - Up $1549.49 for the week. 1.95 ratio with 62.5% strike rate. Very good.

Good day, did only 5 symbols today - Had 1 really bad trade, the Gap-N-Go on QCOM, went over my stop. Did well to recover, but need to stop these Gap-N-Gos, loose more on them than gain.

How I did per process guidelines today (RULES)

Rules for this week

  • Trade 2 - 5 trades - Did only 5 Symbols - Score 100%
  • Get out when you have Green or Respect Daily Limit- Done - Score 100%
  • Good setups with Good R:R - Score 80%
  • Use proper scaling to exit - No, left serious money on the table with NXPI Trade 3 - Score 80%
  • Trade only 9:35 to 11:30 - Done - Score 100%
  • size appropriately - Yes, mostly..  - Score 100%

OVERALL SCORE TODAY: 93.00% (A)

Happy Friday everyone, I am on a good week, so will be extra cautious. This has been my best week as far as process is concerned. 3 more days to the end of my second official SIMM trading month 9Been over 4 months honestly) - I think I am now  consistent. I have some errors that I need to work on that still creep up. At least I know what they are.

I will plan on doing August on SIMM as well (month 3) just to iron out any kinks before I go live September.

  • Stick to mid caps
  • Stick to 9:35am and greater trades
  • No Gap-n-gos
  • valid entry with good R:R - 
  • Stick to stops (stock, daily, weekly) 
  • Scale out well
  • Respect levels and set targets based on these.

I am doing well on:

  • I am now comfortable on long trades as well as shorts
  • I size well
  • My trade entries are good
  • I am good at selecting "Stocks in play" not only from scanner, but based on news.

Red day, walked away with -$380.00 for the day - Up $1169.49 for the week. All 3 losers today. Walked away as this hit 2 Risk rules for me 1) Lose 25% of weekly profit for Friday 2) 3 consecutive losses

Market was really hung today, you could see Buyers and sellers hanging on and fighting on L2, moves were not directional. Perhaps it is because the big names like INTC, FB and TWTR last value, but some folks wanted to keep hanging on. Best to stay out, My Rules came in to action.... Still up for the week, which is good, so I stay CPT. All setups were reasonable.

Very tough day, I am exhausted - Green Day $554.10 - literally traded my butt off climbing out of holes.... Had a few good trades.. 43 tickets today on 4 symbols, classic over-trading.

Wow.  You traded AMD over 20 times in 3 hours.  Couple questions:  You jumped from trading AMD from 2000 to 8000 shares.  That's a big jump (and a huge position of $150,000!).  Any reasons (sorry if it sounds like a stupid question)?  Also, it looks like you set your stop loss very low like 0.2%.  Maybe that was the cause of your overtrading...  I tend to set my stop loss high like 1% or more and it allows me the room to wait for the table to turn (more often than not, it worked!).  I am also a beginner (super green!) and just trying to understand your psychology.  Cheers.

traderview counts buy + sell. So it is 1/2 the share size it says here. I have a $25k simm account with $100k buying power. So if I buy and sell 1000 shares it reports 2000 shares traded. Pretty crazy.

You are right. That is exactly my problem. I tend to scratch too soon and scale too soon. 

That ia why my last trade in TWTR last trade of day was an exercise in patience. I got in well and stayed with it for most of the move. Felt like I was going through a root canal. I am working on this exact issue with my mentor. Believe me this is not the way I want to trade  

goodnpoint is I had about 4 of those “good” trades today,  I am hoping I can increase the number .

Tomorrow is is another day.

Nice recovery. Commissions on 180,000 shares is around $900. At some point, it's better just to accept the red day and walk away. When you go live, choppy days will really test your emotions and sanity lol. Cheers.

Today was a great day, only 8 trades on 3 symbols. Almost all were valid.

GREEN day, walked away with $890.00 - Up $1842.36 for the week. Only 2 trades both winners. 100% Strike rate.

What can I say, this is the best day I have ever had. Walking away.... Took one high risk Gap-N-Go, worked out. Did not go full size on trades today.

GREEN day, walked away with +$380.17- Up +$2222.53 for the week. 1.83 Ratio - 61% Strike rate (Winners + Scratches) - I WILL NOT BE TRADING TOMORROW

Today was a good day, I overtraded and left serious money at the table. This issue continues therefore I have delayed my "go-live" to September. AAPL was good but i could have done better. Maybe I am giving myself too hard a time. One thing I did notice, I was up than started giving money back therefore walked away. I returned and went higher. 

If I can solve my addiction to jumping out too soon both ways, I can achieve same or better results with fewer trades meaning less commissions and stress, and less documenting in this journal which takes me an hour or 2 everyday LOL 🙂
