TD Ameritrade routes in DAS Trader Pro

Hi to All.

I use TD Ameritrade and finally got around to subscribing to DAS Trader Pro. I'm in the process of configuring my montage and have a couple of questions for which I could not find answers to, so I thought I'd post here.

1. I see the following routes available: ARCA, IEX, INET, SMAT, TD and TEST. Between ARCA, IEX and INET is there a preferred route? ARCA's level 2 seems more active.

2. What is the difference between SMAT and TD?

3. This one isn't about routes, but exchanges. The default is Q... is that ok, or should I choose a different exchange?

The only route I use is LIMIT and MARKET for stop loss orders.

Re: exchange, when I right-click the montage then click "order template" this window appears:

There you can set defaults for each Exchange (shares, route, etc.)
