Hi guys, I was wondering why Interactive brkers wants to know how many dependents I have and how this would effect an account?

Found this Investopedia article: Brokers don't ask investors for their personal information to make conversation. There's a perfectly good reason behind it—they have to ask. https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/06/personalinfoandbrokers.asp
