JimSlater 2 Posted November 23, 2019 Just curious about the pros and cons between recording with the DAS screen recorder and OBS Studio. Has anybody used both? Any problems or issues with either? I've used OBS and as far as I know, it can only record one screen. My main concern is, which one uses the less resources, so as not to interfere with trade execution, in the morning session. Thanks in advance...
Abiel 474 Posted November 23, 2019 I use OBS as I can use sound filters to improve audio while I am narrating my trades while recording. I run an I core i7-7700 @ 3.60Hz and seems to me there is no problem on use of computer resources. Since the beginning I didn't like DAS recorder so I don't know if they have improved it. JimSlater 2 Posted November 23, 2019 Hey Abiel, thanks for the feedback. Looks like you're fine on resources with OBS. Good to know. I'm probably overthinking this... I'll try the DAS Screen Recorder for a couple days or so and see how it goes. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to record all three of my monitors for future review of price movement, T&S, and level II. Thanks again!
Zia Rizvi 1 Posted November 9, 2022 (edited) I was trying to record the trading session with OBS and having the below error: Nvenc codec operation not permitted Following video solved the problem, without even updating any graphic card driver. The video is in Spanish, but without knowing Spanish it helped me to solve the issue. Posting it here incase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HhkYqm_4X8&t=2s Edited November 9, 2022 by Zia Rizvi
