  1. Vikram, congrats on your 1 year anniversary! It’s been fun reading your daily journal and seeing you grow as a trader and man have you grown! The sky is the limit on your future as a day trader.
  2. Some great trades today Vikram! Like you, I won’t get near stocks like $SES as well as stocks that have greater than 30% short float. So many traders in the chat room choose to take super risky trades and I just don’t want to get burned by playing with fire. I ended up with a 1R day which is fine with such a low volume day.
  3. Vikram, what a great trading day! So this is what it’s like in a regular market with normal volume.? I was at seven R and took two more trades and ended my day at five R.
  4. Great patience and discipline serving the pullbacks and the long duration of the trades!
  5. Vikram, you were smart to switch to sim as trading this afternoon was a joke and I was ready to lose my mind as spy was up/down/up/down and affecting my setups. Ended at -2R.
  6. Another tough trading day with lots of chop. That Nike V-reversal was a great trade! I’m still sticking with one strategy, wedges, and it worked good, this afternoon especially.
  7. I stay out of the chat room for durations of time during the day so I can focus on my sole setup, wedges. They’re working very good so far and I don’t focus on R:R; I focus only on daily goal. I’m happy with 1R (and less) as that gets me closer to my daily goal and in this mkt I’m really tired of seeing a green trade quickly turn to red! Let’s just say that in this choppy market we are definitely building the muscle needed to succeed when the mkt is a little easier!
  8. Hi Vikram, today would’ve been a good day for me to sit on the sideline, ended up at -1.5R and over traded a little. Got burned on $bhge and not sure why I traded it as not sure it was in play. You did good at +1.5R! These choppy and low vol days are a real grind with little reward.
  9. Vikram, i will miss our daily interactions. I hope you and your family are well. Please let me know when you return!
  10. Hi Vikram, you played by the rules and held to your stops! Today was so choppy like it has been recently. I didn’t have cgc and cron on my watch list. Had they gapped up on the daily charts or had they hit a support and that’s why you were long-biased on them both? Btw, the date of this entry shows 23Aug not 26Aug.
  11. Hi Vikram, yesterday was sooooo rough for me too that I stopped trading at 11:00 and forced myself to leave my ofc for the rest of the day. I went golfing a full 18! Personally I’ve been thinking that this Thor-style of trading is really starting to appeal to me. For example, when I’m at 1R and take no profit and I get stopped out that’s a 2R swing against me. That and it’s mentally depleting to my psychology. I’m seriously considering getting all out at 1R and looking at that as a mental 2R gain because it didn’t stop out at -1R. I need only 4R per day net so 1R per trade and i’m 1/4th to my goal! Yesterday sucked as I was in two great Long trades when “the tweet” happened and they both of course got stopped out!
  12. In the beginning of your day trading journey (per your journal) you set self-imposed pdt limits of 3 trades/week and I was amazed how you had the discipline and internal fortitude to do that. Today you over-traded just a bit and it shows you’re human and as Dr Brett says “forgive yourself and move on”!
  13. Vikram, 2.5R great job and welcome back! I tend to mute the chat at the Open as it’s more fomo than I can handle as a newbie so I never even heard about $CREE until now. Wonder why it wasn’t in Carlos’/Norm’s premarket show? What a drop at the Open! Great trade and add-in on trade #4. I’d love to see these trades when i’m still at my trading desk during trading hours so I can look at all the charts. Can you email them to me during trading hours so we can share thoughts?
  14. Vikram, I’m now caught up with your entire journal; it took me weeks! Your trading style is so different from mine and as a result, I’m learning so much! Thanks for posting!!
  15. Andrew, Your humble and truly sincere approach to day trading motivated me to make a life change and, with God's help, here I am! Greg D (Go AZ Wildcats!)
