i am personally trading looking at P&L all the time as it helps me to count the profits, losses and scale outs. The general rule is different though but you need to find what suits you. Lets agree that you can watch your P&L while you do not break the stop loss rule 🙂

but you can do it only if you size your trades properly and if you keep it small enough so you do not get a heart attack looking at the p&l

Perfect. i agree!

BA: VWAP estrategy only 50 shares. I sold it too soon because of the choppy price action. This strategy works again (short side) at 9:54 but i missed it.

1073364532_Ex12mar2019BA.thumb.JPG.c319afd35ca0f08cfd372e295f7a2f91.JPG

SFIX: I buy at the pull back next to VWAP and sold it in 3 steps. Only 200 shares because the stock was moving a lot. In the second trade i try to make the same thing but didn't work i took only 100 shares.

DKS: I entry too early and paid the price. The second trade was the same VWAP strategy, i didn't like the price action an get out at break even.

MOMO: The first trade was a hotkey mistake because of that a quickly get out. The second trade was the VWAP strategy, i added more in the pull back. I wanted to sell half but another hotkey mistake and sold everything. With so many hotkey mistake i stop trading right away. I missed the best move.

i do not understand why you enter the momo at 36.08 at VWAP and you exit at 36.24 while having the nearest level drawn at 37.23. AS you can see you should have kept it  and this would be your trade of the day. Obviously you were in stress from the size of 800 you took so you should exit partially at 1% move to 36.44 and then just waiting for the profit rising with the rest running on the MA never breaking it.

This time was a hotkey mistake. I want to sell half but instead i sell all the shares.

BA: I went short as soon it rebounds from the MA's and get below VWAP i made a hotkey mistake and instead of covering half i added to my position. Because of that i cover all in the next drop. The second trade using the same VWAP strategy when the 1 min candle close over VWAP, i wait for the pull back  and get a long position then the price action was too choppy and i sold all. The 3rd trade was when i come back later  to the trading station i saw BA going below PCL, i short it, it came down but i didn't cover then i wait and added some more at PCL (my stop loss was some cents over this level), It came down again i made a hotkey mistake but get some profit at the end.

ACB: Watching 1 min candle it was rebounding from VWAP, i get in long  but at the end the candle was red and the next one start as a red one too and i get out. After that the next candle close over VWAP i went long again, i added more in the pull back and then sold it in 3 steps.  The second trade i went long over the VWAP but the stock had a hard time at 9.95, it came down and i get out.

but why do you want to sell half of the position on a 0.4% move (16 cents)? I am quite sure you would not exit it at 35.92 as the 1 min price difference was bigger than 16 cents

on the other day you accepted a loss on ACB in the size of -1.12%

you seem to be accepting bigger losses and exiting too excited with small profits while you trade spread, not trend.

Thanks Peter. I think you are right. I am going to work on that.

MDB: after the rebound from VWAP i entry long at the MA's, my target was 132 but as always i sold it before. I made $100 with only 100 shares.

CLDR: Very bad entry to far from VWAP, I was suppose to wait and buy close to it.

889335811_Ex14mar2019CLDR.thumb.JPG.0d8120d1d0b9ff73e8d5b35c29329e25.JPG

SNAP: Same mistake i made in CLDR. I bought to far from VWAP.

1100485309_Ex14mar2019SNAP.thumb.JPG.c43ef56167bf1ec268e68efde2af0f09.JPG

DG: This one was  a triple bottom. I bought after the 5 min confirmation (100 shares) and in the consolidation i added 300 shares. I sold everything close to VWAP, again i didn't wait enough. After the rebound on VWAP, i went long again half size this time ( i had reach my goal for the day), sold close to the daily level i have and sold the remaining to break even.

SNAP: this is my main strategy. After the stock crossed VWAP i wait for the pull back and entry short. My target was PCL but i didn't have the patience.

1594397876_Ex15mar2019SNAP.thumb.JPG.1dc3b9dd1af815d56b58f314ab2598db.JPG

ORCL: the same VWAP strategy. It fails first time but the it work very well. I get out too early as always.

WEEKLY RECAP (march 11-15)

Finally a week that i have been consistent.

Trades: 30 (17 winners) (10 losers) (3 break even)

Winners total: $1,714.85

Average Winner: $100.87

Losers total: $-530

Average Loser: $-53

PnL Ratio: 1.90 1

Accuracy: 63%

The main strategy is to buy (or short sell) close to VWAP from (9:35 to 10:05) using 5 min chart as reference for the trend and 1 min chart for entry.  For entries in first 15 min is a good idea to sell (or buy) at closes levels.  Apparently when you get you entry close to 10:00 is i good idea to keep some shares for the long run.

Summary $-34.5

Today i was up $196.5 at 9:38, i have to leave a that time when i came back at 12:00 i gave all the profit back.

Lesson: stock trading when you have reached your daily goal and trade only stocks in play.

AMD: I broke my rule that not to trade AMD when the move pre market is les than 3% either way. This one and MU doesn't move like the stocks in play. I get in long in the "pull back" but the stock close VWAP and i get out. The second trade i short it close to VWAP cover half but the other half i get out break even. Then i got in long over the MA's but the stock was a short, i got out with a minor loss.

806297416_Ex20mar2019AMD.thumb.JPG.54138b6e3f5b17e892727385ff3b6774.JPG

TME: I short it with Andrew close to VWAP but the 1 min candle changed from red to white and i got out.

1054504734_Ex20mar2019TME.thumb.JPG.93f006d9c6c8346cbb2e734541056eaf.JPG

NOMD: the news on this one was a public offering. I should no trade this type of news because the move  is usually different. First trade i got in long over the VWAP when the stock crossed below VWAP i got out. The second trade i got in over VWAP again then added in the pull back and sold all at the pop ( i sell all because of the type of news). The  last trade i applied the same strategy but didn't have enough patient.

369689844_Ex20mar2019NOMD.thumb.JPG.959f17db4e15fd2ab19fa832448a8139.JPG

FDX: 2 good trades on this one. The first one i went long at VWAP, added more and sold everything (in 2 steps) at the first level that i have. The second trade the stock was rebounding over VWAP i got in, added in the pull back and sold it in 3 steps.

BIIB: This stock was no tradable  using my strategy. In the 1 min chart the price action is too choppy (large alternating red and white candles). The short at 10:15 was a great entry but the choppy price action again got me out.

1633925835_Ex21mar2019BIIB.thumb.JPG.51a5065a0aef9847ac7a9c4647b6dca2.JPG

SPI: I take this long for a reversal to VWAP but didn't work. This is not a stock for my mains strategy either.

654159665_Ex21mar2019SPI.thumb.JPG.5cfe2db662544976312166113ba08948.JPG

CAG: I missed my entry at 9:34 and chase it only 100 shares but then i make another mistake adding at the same price 200 shares , because of that i get out soon. After that i got a good entry close to VWAP, i sold half but  i take a loss with the other half. After that i made a bad risky trade and got lucky.

GOL: this was my best trade but i made a hotkey mistake and sold all instead of the half. This is a god setup because the stock rebound on the MA's in the 5 min chart and i got in short right at the VWAP.

WEEKLY RECAP (march 18-22)

Trades: 54 (24 winners) (30 losers)

Winners total: $2,670.5

Average Winner: $111.27

Losers total: $-2100.5

Average Loser: $-70.02

PnL Ratio: 1.59 1

Although my accuracy is below 50% the 1.59:1 ratio allow me to stay barely positive.

Lessons: the trades in the first 10 min are really hurting me. This week i gonna be more patient and wait for the setups to develop.
