Hi all,

read andrews books nearly finished advanced techniques in day trading.

Just a beginner question.

is my understanding of this correct?

trade ideas is essential in locating stocks in play?

those stocks in play are then put into software such as DAS?  

and DAS has to be supported by broker for example myself with less than £25000 CMEG?

I have watched the chat room and everything seems to be through trade ideas 

i.e scans, charts, and placing of deals so I am just wondering if there is a step that links them altogether?

Hi, your understanding of DAS/broker is correct but not tradeideas. They're no longer using tradeideas, they use trading terminal which is built by BBT, it's free at the moment as it's in beta but I believe they plan to charge for it in future. There are free options to find stocks in the morning such as finviz if they do charge/you don't want to pay for it. None of them "link" to DAS, you just find what you want to trade and type it into DAS.

Whether it's "necessary" will be determined by what style of trading you end up doing, I really don't use scanners for example, if my morning selections are quiet then I'll just look in the room to see what others are looking at and then see if any of them have my setups.
