Brand New Canadian Trader - Broker Account Options

Hi am brand new to day trading.  I am a Canadian.  I want to start with a small investment - say $ 1,000- 2,000.  Are they brokers options for small CDA traders.  It appears only IB brokers with an investment of $ 10,000.  CMEG is not accepting Canadians.

Thanks Bryan,  CMEG does not accept Canadian traders any longer. 

Anyone tried Alliance Trader.com (Jamaica), I found the name in Andrews book I purchased.  You can start with $ 1,000 min.

Andrew still has a small Alliance account as far as I know, but I have no idea about their comms structure.

are you sure that IB has the $10,000 min limit? I was able to trade with a $7000 account. 

edit: here it is and min. is $2000 usd
