DAS Zoom and Partialing

Recommended Posts

Hey fam, I have two technical questions regarding DAS.

1. When I have pre loaded levels under Study Config on my charts such as pre market highs/lows and the previous day highs/lows I cannot zoom in past those levels. So on stocks that have gapped a lot and the previous days levels are far away on the chart it will not let me  zoom into the current price action without those levels in the frame. This makes the candles really small. I have overcame this by manually doing levels which allows me to zoom in as much as i want on the current price action, but am looking for a way to overcome DAS not letting me zoom in to where the pre loaded levels aren't in the frame. Does anyone know how to overcome this?

2. I am using Kyle's hotkey where I double click to set a stop based on my $ risk to go long/short. Once it make the purchase it sets a order to sell all at that stop. Well to partial I have to clear that stop order manually, take my partial, and then set a new stop order. As you can imagine, this is not the ideal situation in the open when things are moving fast and you need to take partials quick. Does anyone know how I can take partials even with the stop order in place? I know i will have to set a new order with the updated shares after, but I need to be able to partial quick without having to cancel the original order first.

I use CMEG and am not in SIM if that helps?

Thanks to anyone that can help!

Attached are screenshots of a chart with no pre loaded levels (I can zoom in as far as I want) and one with pre loaded levels (I can't zoom in without the levels being in the frame).

1) I'm not quite sure with this one, I don't have that experience. Have you tried resetting the chart with a hotkey like:

MinuteChart 1 1d; NumBar 30

2) You need to clear the first stop order using CXL ALLSYMB. When Long this will take a 50% partial, and then set a NEW stop at Break Even, if you don't want to move to B/E then have it =StopPrice

CXL ALLSYMB;Route=LIMIT;Share=Pos*0.5;Price=Bid-0.05;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send;ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Market;StopPrice=AvgCost;Share=Pos-share;TIF=DAY+;SELL=SEND

Hello,

I believe to fix your first problem you need to go into "Study Configuration" then click on "ConfigEx" and uncheck the "Include in Scale" box for ALL of the moving averages, VWAP, and Price Markers. The ONLY study that should have the "Include in scale" box checked will be "Price (Candle). I think this should solve your problem. I had a similar issue when setting up my DAS a few months back. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I will try this tomorrow and let you know how it works.

This worked like a charm. Thank you sir!
