evan 12 Posted March 2, 2020 Does anybody have a hotkey script for adjusting your stop to reflect your new position size after taking a partial, WITHOUT adjusting the stop price? I have the hotkey that does this and moves the stop to B/E, but what if I want to keep the stop where it is? Example: I go long 100 shares of a stock at $100, with a stop at $99. Price moves up to $101 and I take a 25% partial. I have 75 shares remaining, but my stop is still for 100 shares. I am looking for a hotkey that will adjust the quantity to 75, while leaving the stop at 99.
peterB 155 Posted March 3, 2020 i think you just change the AvgCost to a different variable but the problem is that in the time you press the partial profit hotkey the current price is the only known variable so you might need to click to the chart and use the StopPrice (double clicked) if i do not forget today after trading i will test it and let you know
peterB 155 Posted March 4, 2020 i have been experimenting with this a bit but could not make it into one hotkey i could do it in a separate hotkey - click on the chart and set the stop loss to that point on chart with the current position size
