Sim Help

Hello,

I just finished reading Andrew's books on Day Trading.  I have a basic understanding of Day Trading from the 10,000 foot level.  I'd like to use the Sim to gain a better understanding of how the DAS Sim process works and then reread the books.  This is the best way I can learn from reading a book, I need to play with the Sim to learn from the examples in the books. 

 

Can the Sim be used during non-trading hours to get a feel for how the software works?  What is the best way to learn the software layout and setup?  What is the cheapest way to accomplish this task?

There is your first issue, cheap should not be mentioned when trying to learn trading. If you're asking the best way for trading equities, most of us use the DAS Trader platform, costs about $150 USD a month. There may be some features to allow you to replay a trading day in DAS now, I am not sure. The most effective way is to trade in the sim during normal trading hours however. But yes you can log on and set up your desktop and scripts off market hours. The best to learn the platform is like anything else these days, YouTube tutorials 😄

Hi Michael, yes, DAS sim can be used during non-trading hours to get a feel for how the software works and setting it up. 

You can can sign up for 14 Days DAS Trial Demo and use this time to get familiar with the software.  After that, as a BBT member you can get a 3-months DAS sim subscription for $300 (instead of $150 monthly directly from DAS Inc).
