HI Sweden.

The main sources for trading setups are Andrew´s books and Class 4. Also, you can learn from Andrew´s / Mods / Members recaps in youtube.

After you review all strategies in class and books, it is a good idea to develop a playbook / trading plan / trading rules as the foundation for your trading.  If you don't have a trading plan it is a good idea to develop one ASAP.

Then you test strategies in simulator and choose 1-2 as your main focus to master them, it is difficult to focus on all / many strategies at a time.

To avoid feeling alone, look for a trading buddy or support group, I am sure you will find one here in the forums.

These are the ideas that came to my mind to share with you, maybe if you ask more specific questions we can help you better.

Below I listed some links I think can be useful for you.

Hi Sweden,

Abiel just provided you with perfect suggestions for you to try and improve on these strategies.
I get your frustration, if you are red everyday something is clearly not working but is hard to see what is not working without seen your trading. Maybe when you take a few trades post them here on the forum so us and the members can give you feedback.

Thanks.

Hi Sweden,

Just adding my two cents I would spend some time focusing on L2 reading. It's the missing piece of the puzzle for a lot of traders. (I recommend Carlos' new video on Youtube.) You can have great patterns that fail and in most cases the L2 gave some hints that would happen. Abiel nailed it however, get specific and identify 1 setup you want to learn and focus on just that setup. I recommend taking the profit target completely off the table. Red/Green isn't important right now. Just learning setups is your only goal. To learn them you need to fail.....alot. So don't be obsessed with profit for now. Be obsessed with good entries and exits. Remember this is a learning process with a nasty curve. But once things start to line up you will see improvement in an exponential fashion.

Warm Regards,

Thor

If there could be one thing to add to the L2 video is that when you have a bunch of orders stacking up on either the BID or ASK side of the L2 you must try to interpret what is happening. If the top BID orders are jumping to the ASK side the price will fly up, if the orders at the top of the ASK jump to the BID side, the price will drop. This can translate to buying at the 'breakout point' in the setup and seeing the volume come in or potential volume if those orders are getting filled.

Not sure if there is a time and sales video, but I just look for those bright colors for above or below the bid/ask lol

Hi Brendon,

Sorry but I’m a bit confused...if the top bids jump to the asks side, doesn’t that mean the sellers are willing to sell for a lower price? Wouldn’t the price drop? And if the top asks go to bids side, doesn’t that mean buyers are willing to buy at higher price, thus driving the price up? It feels like I’m missing some key concept...I’ve only been trying to incorporate level 2 reading for a few days.

Hey, well the BIDs are always lower than the ASKs right? So if the BIDs (buyers) become aggressive and want to buy, they buy (jump) to the ASK side, knocking out the top orders and going down the L2 to the next price up on the ASK, which is higher. Vice versa for the sellers. But if the orders are outstanding in the middle of the L2, halfway down they can act as magnets and a signal that the price could move towards that level (whichever side has the biggest orders down there, but like Andrew said if both sides do, then you can't really tell). And T&S is good to catch what size orders get filled and to what side they do.
