Simple as Possible Script Trading: Stock & Forex

Hello Guys:

I'm trading on a script basis strategy. I'm develop my own scripts to trade Stocks and Forex markets. I'm a person who deals with impatient and rushing into trades so I developed a way to deal with my mind and trade with discipline using my own develop scripts. If you are interested I can help you to develop your own scripts and let you trade with machine discipline and let the decision making to the computer. I do this with my trading. My script lets me know when to enter the market, long or short side, take profit 1, take profit 2 and my stop loss and the position size. The only decision I make is to enter the markets with those parameters. I'm recently managing a 280K real account on Forex and a 4K  real account on Stocks. I'll doing this by free, just for the sake of programming and learning about automated scripting and let you automated your decision making on your trades.

Do these scripts run in DAS or are you using some other platform?

DAS doesn't let you develop your own scripts so I'm using other platforms at the moment. I'm using Ninjatrader and TradingView as my scripting platforms. 

- Ninjatrader has a lot of historical data to test, sound alarms, and email alerts.

- Trading View, simple programming with pine, sound alarms, email and SMS alerts with paid subscriptions.

Currently I use Ninjatrader but is possible to use Trading View too. I only use Ninjatrader to look for the opportunity and them I make an entry on my DAS Platform, I only use the level I DAS.

PD: If you have IB Brokers account I think you can use Ninjatrader as your platform but you'll be paying for that too.

I'm not sharing my strategy at the moment but what I'll can do is the following:

- Convert your manual strategy into an script on TradingView, Ninjatrader and I do my best with MQL4 & MQL5.

- You can told me what your strategy is and I can make the script based on it.

Hi LC,

Can you recommend a good script writing book? I bought a Ninjatrader book last year and it was terrible. Plus I was never able (even with hours of tech support) to get my E-signal and Ninjatrader talking to each other so I gave up looking at scripts for awhile.

Hi Rob:

Maybe a good C# book will be good for you cause Ninjatrader Scripting is based con C# from Microsoft. I don't know about E-signal but If you have an strategy we can develop an script together that satisfy your needs.

Hi LC,

E-signal was just the supplying the data to Ninjatrader. It was suppose to be an easy connection. It never worked for me.

I am adequate enough in C#, just looking for a good reference book in applying/executing scripts it in Ninjatrader or Tradingview.

I see, well I don't know about any know book on the market but the Ninjatrader 8 Reference web site could be helpful.
