I recently started using IB and find their support as not available. I submitted queries via web ticket and no one is replying back. Tried calling but after 40 mins on hold I gave up. Does anyone else have the same issue? Anyone gas a better way to get through to them? I was with Fidelity before and you get a live rep within minutes with them…

Hi All,
I was wondering if someone can advise on the sequence of set up for trading. To date, I was trading in DAS simulator that I purchased acccess to through BBT. But I am now ready for real trading. Should I contact Interactive Brokers first to open an account? Then do I call DAS to get connected? Or Interactive Brokers offe that connectivity? Also, does anyone know the fees invovled?

To do, I was only trading in DAS simulator. I was wondering how that experience compares with real trading in terms of speed of execution. Execucion in DAS Simulator is instanteneous. Is it the same with say Interactive Brokers? Is there a delay, and if yes, how bad is it?
