Housing Market Crash/Recession?

Motivated by rewatching The Big Short, I decided to look at the housing sector index (HGX) and stumbled on a potential technical signal for the crash of the housing market. The first image is of the monthly chart for HGX which shows a double top and retest of the previous ATH back in '04/'05. The second is of a potential head and shoulders on the daily chart. Could this signal the "impending" housing market crash/recession we've been hearing about the last few years?

Not only a close below the neckline, but also a gap down.
