Green Candlesticks: Wigglers, Hesitators, and Fluctuators

Recommended Posts

I tried day trading for several hours today. The method I used was closely watching the green candlesticks to see if they would pump up fast so I could enter and exit with a quick profit of 17 cents or so (2.86% gain, as I did once). I mainly focused on the open and the close of the market, but there were a few other times of the day I tried. Most of the 5-minute green candlesticks I watched today were hesitators, wigglers, and fluctuators. Its like whenever they were going green, they couldn't make up their minds about whether they wanted to go up green anymore into the profit zone. And then they would just wiggle back and forth, up and down: sometimes between a little green bar and a little red bar. What's the best way to avoid this situation? Its extremely frustrating! You give all this time and attention to something; you try to find as many trading opportunities as possible in the day to increase your batting average; and then the green candlesticks mostly just "wiggle" all day! Anyone out there who can speak to that? HELP!
