Cam pivot points with/without premarket data

Recommended Posts

There was another thread similar to this however it was comparing TOS to DAS. My problem is that on days I get 2-3R are days where the stock respected R/S 3-4 WITH pre and post market data and the days I get max loss are days where stocks respected R/S 3-4 WITHOUT premarket data. It seems to be completely random on which stock will respect which cam pivot formula. Can anyone shed some light on this? At this point I have analysis paralysis because I now look at every stock from both points of view and the data is extremely conflicting.

IMHO ............. Always use pre or post market data. Pivots are calculated on close data i.e. the post mkt data.  You can check this to confirm.

Always using ALL the data available simplifies the about of info u mentally have to process so u can focus on execution and not analysis.

I have been using ALL the data for calculating pivots since 2008 in my trading.

If u have too many levels price will SEEM to stop/pause at all of them

Just a few thoughts for u.

1. how much data you have to make these assumptions?

2. screenshots?

3. your daily max loss has nothing to do with cams or any other indicator

Me incorrectly using or not understanding an indicator has a direct impact on winning or losing trades, I am just gonna leave this alone

I saw this reply so the past couple days I have been switching back and forth to see and it seems that sometimes it respects with data and sometimes it respects without data. Thors trade today is a good example. Today he used with premarket data on his T trade but other days when he shows his recap he will use without premarket data and I can't figure out why. I have asked him a bunch of times in the chatroom but he has never answered before. I think your right though I just need to pick one
