S3 Bounce, but L2 Bearish, Scared out of the move!

Today I have 2 examples of a bearish L2 on $AAPL and $PLTR as the price hits S3 on the Cam Pivots. Yet, the stock bounces from here and makes an amazing move up. 

I didn't take either trade as I was 'checking my mirrors' and saw trouble!. Looking for some guidance, advices, discussion, or just some acknowledgment that this is hard, and how can we avoid this 'noise' (is it?).

This is a good example that L2 is just one indicator of a few things traders need to watch.

In both examples the decrease in volume then increase in bullish volume is a decision point to get out of any short trades or flip direction.
