Hot Key for Range (Bracket) Order

I've seen you & your staff offer some useful tips on Hotkey Stop Loss and Trailing Orders. Can you please offer some assistance on the script for a Range Order for a Buy or a Short.

 

I'd like to set the range order to sell at a percentage of average cost of the position. For instance, sell at either gain of +2.0% of average cost of position and sell at loss of -1.2% of average cost of position.

Jay, I tried making a hotkey for Range Orders with no success.

 

The Command Tip in DAS says that:

For a range stop order, one can specify a stop price and target price simultatenously. The low price is specificed by StopPrice= , and the high price is specified by TrailPrice=

 

Here is what I defined:

StopType=Range;StopPrice=AvgCost*0.988;StopPrice=Round2; TrailPrice=AvgCost*1.02;TrailPrice=Round2

 

However, DAS complains that the order is not a Trailing Stop and cannot set the trailing price. I recommend you contact DAS Support directly for further assistance [email protected]

Thanks Robert. I figured you'd be the one to know more about this.

 

I'm a little bewildered that DAS would create the tip and then complain to you that it can't be used, but...

 

My understanding is that the trailing stop is inherently more "flexible" than a stop loss, whether you want it to be or not.
