CMEG LampPost routing script HELP?

Recommended Posts

Charles Clark

CMEG can not seem to tell me how to rewrite my hot button script to utilize the LampPost / pdq route. The LampPost PDQ route is required I believe in order to get the promo rates.

Can anyone tell me how to rewrite my scripts?

This is a sample script.

ROUTE=SMRTL; Share=50; Price=Ask+0.10;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET StopPrice:AvgCost-.20 ACT:SELL QTY:POS TIF:DAY+

Hi Charles!

I've been using CMEG for a while and ever since I switched to them I modified all of my hotkeys to contain ROUTE=LIMIT in order to utilize that pdq route and benefit from the discounted rates. Provided you already provided the promo code when you signed up and you change your ROUTE to LIMIT, it should work just fine.

Hope this helps.

when I just put in an order in the SIM to test it shows me route is SMAT on my stop.  Do I need to change something else for this?

ROUTE=LIMIT; Share=50; Price=Ask+0.10;TIF=DAY+;BUY=Send;TriggerOrder=RT:STOP STOPTYPE:MARKET StopPrice:AvgCost-.20 ACT:SELL QTY:POS TIF:DAY+

Yep, that should be fine. I get the same thing when I place an order but once it's executed it shows as PDQ. Once it's executed, check your trade log and it should look something like the screenshot I'll put below.

You MAY also have to change DAY+ to DAY to get the discounted route. Make sure to verify your comms on your CMEG account.

As Bryan said, u confirm the rates the NEXT day in the CMEG trading acct portal when u run a report.

This had me confused when I started also.

CMEG customer service is the BOSS both voice and email.....they do respond fast..

Based on reports from Kyle and other users who have experienced issues, Yes,.

For CMEG users it is best to remove the "+" and the issues are cleared.

Aside from making the discounted route work, the only difference in DAY and DAY+ is that a DAY order will expire at 4 PM, and a DAY+ order will expire at 8 PM eastern.
