DAS getting jumpy at market open

Any news or updates from the guys at DAS about lags in the first minutes after the open (candles delayed, bid higher than ask etc.)?

It's been going like this for a couple days now for me. And I don't seem to be the only one.

Make sure to report it DAS so that they know it's happening to you. If possible, capture video or a screen shot of it. This happened a few months back too, but they took care of it back then... Apparently there's an issue again.

There is also something called the Opening Cross:

https://www.nasdaqtrader.com/content/productsservices/trading/crosses/openclose_faqs.pdf

This intentionally places the bid higher than the ask to basically curb volatility.

Read bullets 1 - 4 on the link provided for why!

It also has interesting stipulations about how it handles orders placed between 9:28 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. which have actually jacked me up really good in the past!

Directly from the opening cross FAQ provided by the NASDAQ:

"

  • Limit Orders placed after 9:28 a.m. are treated as Imbalance-Only (IO) orders for the Opening Cross.
  •  Market Orders placed after 9:28 a.m. will be held until the market opens and will not participate in the Opening Cross.

"

  • Thanks 1
