Issue to transfer funds from US to CMEG

Hi everyone,

I just opened a new account at CMEG, but transferring funds to them is a nightmare.

Neither Bank of America or Wells Fargo can do it, CMEG support suggested me to use a service like XE.com

I opened an account, send the money to them to transfer through their service.

They just answered me they can't proceed because of some laundry regulation in the US.

Now it will take 2 weeks to be refunded, plus a security check, plus fees, this is a nightmare.

How do you guys transfer your money to Trinidad from US? Thank you for your help!

I went to my local bank and gave them the form for transferring the funds to the bank in Trinidad that CMEG specified and I had no issues.  I was able to do multiple transfers throughout the year with no issues with the last one being in September.  Within a few days my funds were available with CMEG.

I have had an account with CMEG for over 2 years and have transferred money 4 or 5 times.

I have never had a problem.

I transferred the money from my checking account with my local bank.

Eric I have Chase , and they transferred the money with no issues. I had to wait for them to validate that the destination was safe and secure. I had to fill out the paperwork online for chase. After that there hasn't been any issues. just a $35 transfer fee.

I have previously used CMEG and was able to wire transfer directly from Charles Schwab to CMEG through Charles Schwab's online portal with zero issues. I made the wire transfer from my Charles Schwab Brokerage account.
