Am I screwed by my internet?

I want to get into day trading but I'm out in the country. We don't have cable or fiber optic internet out here. I have DSL.  AT&T U-Verse as a matter of fact. Will that cut it for day trading?  Thanks.

Allow me to make this answer longer than it probably has to be. I think you'll probably be ok with mid-range or higher DSL if it's consistent... (As long as the chatroom works for you without issue) Using DAS, we're concerned with network delay; it doesn't use much bandwidth. DAS says you ideally want less than 200 milliseconds of delay. I would suggest getting the 14 day free trial from them, and seeing what the network delay is for you. (double click the little chain thing on the bottom right) https://snapshot.dastrader.mobi/newwidget3.html?a=89d355cc-41a4-4bb4-b774-4bc3e103a40d  I'll attach a screen shot of what I'm seeing with the fiber I got installed yesterday. It's about the same delay as the non-fiber I had, that was a dish pointed at a tower. I'm in rural UT; usually the closer you get to New Jersey, the lower the delay gets.

I am in the country as well and use 4G tower internet as I dont have copper or fibre either.
Mornings mostly its fine here. Some days I get >200ms delay and I just dont enter. If im in a trade I dont care cuz I use range orders and my stop and take profit is already in the market sitting at the exchange. This is how I trade to combat having sometime >800ms delay straight up to un-usable. I suggest you incorporate this style of trading for another redundancy measure when live.
