Is it possible to contact another member directly?

I have heard a number of comments from other members in the chat room that I would really like to explore further.  Some of them are neither contributors nor any other form of BBT 'staff', and I was curious if it was possible to connect with those people directly without shouting out in the chatroom that you wanted to explore their ideas further.

Hope I am being clear here (as I am not sure that I am!)
