Attention Traders Over 50

There are five things you need to know about your brain if you are a trader over 50.

Studies show that brain size decreases about 5% per decade after age 40.

Most of the shrinkage is in the prefrontal cortex, which is the home to executive function… which helps us analyze well and act responsibly. The opposite of executive function is impulsive or perseverative behavior, (i.e. doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.)

Older brains are less efficient in processing glucose for energy, which makes for fuzzy thinking.

There are over-the-counter supplements that can help with all this. I’ll discuss them in this webinar.
