LLC & DAS Pro for IB Traders.

Hello BBT family <happy Fri-yay>

 

I have set up an LLC for trading, and I have opened an account with IB using the same LLC.

 

I want to utilize DAS offer found here:

I have a couple of questions though:

1) Is the $150 for individual traders, or is it valid for LLC as well?

2) If I follow the link from the page above to setup my DAS account, it doesn't include "level 2". Do we (BBT) have a representative from DAS that we can reach to, before opening the account?

Not really; however, here is what I found so far:

The $150 promotion is valid only for individual trader account. If you used an LLC to open an IB account, DAS would charge you at least $200 for their services.

The $200 will include level 2 data for stocks except for the penny stocks level 2 (OTC market) data. It will not include options or Forex data though. Follow this link and check the "Professional Users" section for all the details.

To the best of my understanding, as soon as you start an LLC, it adds a lot of extra complication and you become a "professional" day trader. It may even require SEC licensing. At BBT, we are primarily "non-professional" traders and don't need licensing. In the US, taxation gets complicate, but Green Trader Tax tries to help people start an S-Corp.
