Good stuff and thanks for sharing. Overall, my trading philosophy is very similar to yours. I have been trying not to "form a short/long bias" (which in my mind I equate with speculation), as I have been catching myself getting stuck with my newly formed hypothesis even when the market conditions change (and these days they change very rapidly and unpredictably). Instead I try (with a very low degree of success 😉 to identify opportunities as they present themselves. Once they are gone I wait and see where the market brings me next (easier said than done). Cheers!

Exactly, we don't know how the market is going to react to news, and what is already priced in, but we definitely need a short or long bias before we enter a trade, I like to watch price action for awhile to get a feel for what it's doing and where it could be heading regardless of the patterns forming.
