Is there away to re-arrange the 'hotkey' buttons in montage ...IE: ....move button up/down ...left/right ?

Thanks Abiel.

That config window only moves the 'block' of buttons up or down.  Its the individual rows I'd like to move.  There doesn't seem to be a way.

The only solution I've found is to create a new row and re-map the new button(s) and then delete the original(s).

Yes,  if you are are talking about the hotkey script buttons then you just need to 'add a new row' then copy your scripts over to the new buttons and then delete the old row.. Sort of a PIA but after it's all done those hotkey script buttons on the Level II montage are easier and faster to use than keyboard assigned hotkeys .

Thanks John.
that’s what I ended up doing.  Since then I’ve decided to switch to IB’s TWS. I actually prefer it.

Hi Tom, sorry to bother you but Im just now transferring to live and Im opening my trading account at IB.   Are you still using TWS and how do you like it?  Does it allow Kyle's hot keys as hot buttons like DAS?  Is it a pretty good replacement for DAS? Did you decide to use it to save the cost of DAS? Thanks if you get a chance to  answer these or any other info that you're willing to share.

HI Hans (?) ...

Kyle's hot keys (HK's) will not work with TWS.

After using TWS for a couple of months it actually is not that bad and is very usable but,  DAS is in many ways superior.   HK's can be created for TWS but they are nowhere as sophisticated as the DAS ones.

After watching Kyle's webinar last night I realized that it was time to go back to DAS.  I  re-subscribed for DAS this afternoon!  The HK I am most excited about is the 'move stop to b/e' command/script/macro.  There have been a number of times that that HK alone would have paid for DAS each month because it could have gotten me out with little to no loss ....I just couldn't move my stop fast enough with TWS  😞

Another huge plus for DAS is BBT itself.  You have a whole community that has ample experience with DAS.

Hope this helps.

Tom

Saving platform costs and trading should not be used in the same sentence 😉 I once did. Except trading fees, you always want a good broker that allows you to partial well.

Stick with DAS

I agree Brendon.

At first I just didn't see the 'value'  (which is very subjective to each person) of DAS.    Now I do!

Thank you both, Tom and Brendon, for your helpful responses.  I was interested in TWS only if it had the same ability to use customers hotkeys(kyles hotkeys specifically). At this point in my trading career the automatic hard stop and the “move stop to break even” are essential to my success .  Thanks again, Hans
