Level 2 and the tape are the same thing?

Hi. is level 2 and the tape are the same thing?  if theres big buyers on level 2 and big buyers on the tape does that mean the price might get down?

can someone explain to me whats the difference between level 2 and the tape

L2 is a leading indicator, meaning it is used to predict future price action.  ---less reliable, but you may be the first on the boat 

The Tape is a lagging indicator, meaning it shows the past price action. ---more reliable, but you may have missed the boat!

 

The L2 shows potential orders outstanding, the tape shows orders that were filled. 

 

Have you watched Carlos' L2 video on youtube? It should help you out a LOT.
