The 5/9/20/50 MA Cross Strategy

Recommended Posts

KurtLoeblich

Hey all!

As I'm sure many of you are aware, a few of us have been working on a strategy regarding some moving average crosses that tend to result in rather large move with clear and (typically) very low risk.

That being said, I'm two weeks in only using this strategy, but once the month is over and I've proven it's a viable strategy that can be repeated with probable success, I will want to offer a tutorial on it.

That being said, would you prefer a written tutorial or video tutorial?  If it's a video, I'll need to get permission from BBT to do a video so I'll need to work out those details in advance.  Maybe I'll convince William to do the video since he was the one who really put me onto the strategy in the first place and has been a great help in developing it. Plus, that saves me time and work :p. Either way, I plan to have screenshots/images that demonstrate the setup with clear levels for entries, stops, profit targets, etc, which should make it relatively easy to understand.

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's suggestions and ideas.  Feel free to also help us come up with a fun name so we dont have to call it a boring name.

Talk soon!

KurtL -- looking forward to the tutorials!  When do you think they'll be released?

I need to have one month of profitable trading in the books before we will publish a tutorial. That being said, risking only 50 dollars per trade and not violating rules (to the best of my ability) and only trading this setup, I just finished up week 2 with over 1,000 dollars in the green trading relatively small size (per my own comfort level).  Assuming the trend can continue throughout the remainder of March, I'll likely try to get something done by early April.

Video, please.  Oh, and I’d like to see all the fancy zooms, transitions, and other special effects that add no value to the video other than entertainment. Finally, I’ll need an exceptional amount of enthusiasm from your narration, much like in your last recap. Lol

Of course, you know I’m just bustin’ your chops. I do think a video would be most helpful and I’d be happy to assist in any way, if you’d like.

I’m still trying to think of a name for the strat. I’ve got nothing so far. Helpful, I know. Lol

I think Norm mentioned a "baby cross" today at one point. Maybe you can do something with that...

I like written tutorial best so I can refer back to the source a bit easier without needing to review the whole video. Either is good though since I take my own notes along the way if it is a video.

Appreciate you. I look forward to seeing more on this.

My vote is video. But maybe have a couple screenshots that we can print to hang by our trading area.

If you don’t have a mountain to climb, find one.

I swear I'm not stalking you, Kurt, but can I ask how March ended with this?
